Buddy got popped for distribution recently (I just now found out) and is currently in jail facing felony charges.

We go way back, but really haven't had much contact over the past 6 months aside from some texts trying to get together for a brew or something...Just went through them all on my phone and I didn't find anything overly incriminating.

Im in mid flower, bunch in veg, bunch of clones...


ETA: his bust was 2-3 week ago...if something else were to happen, it would have happened by now I'm thinking?
Should I pull it all to be safe?

6 months is a while. They could've been onto him for longer though. How strong of a character do you think he has? Are you worried about what the police might know (in which case you wouldn't have probably been able to start this thread) or what your friend might tell them?

He'd have told already and they would be there. They don't waste time if there solid info and arrests/money to be made but err on the side of caution

One thought - get a friend to watch your place. Basically to see if you are being watched.

I would reduce plant count. Possibly down to zero, or 2 - some ridiculous low number that might piss off the judge (at the cop for bringing such a tiny case to court).

Basically, essential clones, mothers & genetics only.


Also, people talk about using police scanners etc. to see if they are attracting heat

Not sure if this technique is still valid. But if it is, sounds like a good thing to do.

Went through my texts again, and over the past 6 months theres been about 12 texts, all of which had went something like "you free for lunch"? which isn't code..its literally trying to set up time for a beer. most recent one was a holiday greeting.

hard to say what anyone would do in that situation, but we go back pretty far...and I've helped him out with some personal stuff in the past, so I like to think because of that he won't snitch.

thats sort of what I am thinking, but his arraignment isn't for another couple of weeks so he could still plea I guess and throw people under the bus, though Im not sure how exactly that works, meaning if they would just act on the word of someone already facing a lengthy sentence without any solid evidence to back it up...

locally, the LEO are getting scramblers for their radios. unless they WANT you to know what is happening (weather alerts, active shooters etc) you won't know.

They might watch you if he's said anything, and it's good to stay aware, but if he's trying to get a lighter sentence the police will focus on who he's actually getting his herb from. They want a bigger fish - especially if he's got a distribution charge. What you do may be a felony, but not a 'bigger fish' i.e. more money from seizures of property, product, and cash.

We go "way" back...back to H.S. a couple of decades...we've pretty much always known what each other has been up to. Over the past few years he's taken risks with both his business and with women that I deemed unacceptable so essentially stopped interacting with him when it came to weed, instead just keeping things social to maintain the relationship. This means we'd meet up every couple of months for a drink, or to check out a band or something and thats it...

I highly suspect his recent troubles are the result of a woman...

As for the "bigger fish", those guys are all out of state.
