yeah i come from a small family too, it was only me and my mom and sister growing up
my mom is from overseas and had like 4-5 sisters and about as many brothers
the mrs has a bigger family but they all live on the east coast
yeah its werid that it wasnt till feb that the temps dropped, but here in coastal so cal, spring dosent really get going until april, may or june and it dosent get really warm until like july or august
im cool with that thoe, it makes it easier to deal with grow room temps and i dont mind a little cold
we went for a walk last night and the mrs was all bundled up like she was expecting snow or soemthing
we also went out for mexican food and i found a new favorite dish called tampicanio at our favorite taco spot
its more like a combination of carne asada, beans rice, creme fresh, guac and a cheese enchillada... its all there man
its symbolic of the region the dish was created in, each part representing a part of the culture
i just know its like a carne asada plate wth a cheese enchillada included!
i will be getting that again for sure
nice bud shots
have you dont any stem rubbing?
how does it smell?
youve grown this strain out before, what were your thoughts?
even tho it was a short week for me, (had monday off for presidents day) i am beat
hope you are gearing up for an awesome weekend
Good morning pop_rocks.
The first week back after a bunch of days off can be a tough transition but I've been too busy to notice. The week flew by and it's hard to believe it's the weekend allready. I hope your week went well and your weekend is off to a good start!

Yes I suspect that it is very diffrent growing up in a big family and it would have its advantages and disadvantages. Probably a bit more competition in a bigger family, especially at the dinner table. Also must be harder to do family activities together like go to a baseball game or something because of all the diffrent schedules and stuff.

That's interesting that spring comes later than I'd have thought in SD. I'm glad you are getting at least a little taste of winter and enjoying it. I know what you mean about your Mrs bundling up for the cold, when we were in Mobile it was down to 48 degrees one night and all the locals looked like they were dressed to go sledding or ice fishing. But cold is relative and I'd recommend wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable and warm.

That Mexican dish sounds awesome. Some of my favorite things all on that plate. Eat one for me next time you go there. After I get down to the weight I want to be ill be able to enjoy a big plate of food like that again from time to time.

So far the stem rubs smell a lot fruitier than I'd think for this strain, like last time I grew them. There is a sweet skunk and floral scent too. I'm sure they will cure into more sour chem fuel skunk or at least they did last time. I think I made the right choice to not keep the moms or clones of these. They are good but not exactly what I'm looking for and they are so floppy thet they are a pain in the ass to grow. Defenatley no regrets and I'm glad they are my first grow from clone and I got to learn a lot the last two grows with them. Next it's going to be the red eye Jedi and the GSC. After that run it will be the granola funk I think than back to the gorilla bubble to find a keeper of that. I think I need another tent LOL.

a lot of thought goes into choosing which plants we keep
i dont blame you for not wanting to continue with this strain, esp if its a pain in the azz to grow
plus it sounds like you have some nice alternatives waiting in the wings
i am always down to expand and add another tent, unfortunately the mrs dosent think its worth it
/why have extra rooms in the house
how many more weeks do you think you will need with this run?
coastal weather is weird because the ocean
we have a lot of cloudy/foggy mornings while just a few mile inland it will be clear and sunny
we live a little inland so its not as bad; the marine layer usually burns off by mid day, but still what a difference a mile or two can make
/my friend who let me grow in his back yard lives a little to the east and gets good light
so how are your work outs going? soon will it be nice enough to do more stuff outside?
i know what you mean about the locals dressing for winter
you can see the tourists in their shorts and t-shirts, while the locals are all bundled up and wearing hoodies and jackets
sounds like the mrs is moving around
we have a fun walk planned for today and then might go out and grab a bite to eat
hope your weekend is off to a great start,my man!

Good morning pop_rocks.

I'm looking forward to these next couple runs I've heard plenty of good things about the genetics and I'm sure I'll get lucky and find a keeper if I keep hunting. Adding another light is a goal of mine and should speed up the process and give me more chances of finding winners. My plan is to build a room and get away from tents at some point as well.

I have to look back and see what day I'm on but I'm thinking another 4 weeks or so on this run, assuming they finish a week or so quicker from clone than they did from seed. I have to get cuts taken for the next run pretty soon. And seeds popped for the run after next. Looks like it's going to be a busy week in the garden.

The workouts had been going great but I jammed my big toe sometime on Friday and it's been impossible to do much since then. I can barley walk and I tried the excercise bike and it got really painful. I'm hoping this is going to pass quickly and I'll b right back to it soon. I'm down 20 pounds now since Jan 1st. Getting old sucks LOL.

I hope you guys had a great walk and enjoyed your weekend...Fiddy.

Well jungle mates,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent most of the weekend cutting down. Have I mentioned how much I hate trimming? I got about 15 plants completely trimmed. 66 plants deleafed and cut down to branches and hung. Man I swear people suck. Out of the 7 people who were supposed to help with the trim only 2 made it for both nights. The 2 that actually made it were not worth a shit. One guy did like 4 branches in 5 hours. Wtf, grr I hate hillbilly losers

sounds like you have a lot going on in the garden there, fiddy!
building out a room is a great idea and will give you more space to grow big
and the tents can be used to quarantine new or sick plants, or breeding experiments
looks like the adventure is just getting started,my man!
that is awesome that you are doing so well with your work outs!
20# so far this year is a lot man and is something to be really proud of
even if you have to take some time off because of injury, you are doing great
plus it should start warming up soon and the days will start getting longer, i know that always gives me a boost
i hear you man about getting old, but like i tell the mrs, i will never be younger than i am right now
just because we are getting older dosent mean we have to get soft and broken down, brother!
lets keep it up and look forward to the warmer days ahead

you got a really nice harvest there, p'fan
it sucks that the help you were hoping on isnt worth a shit and the ones that did show werent much help
seriously, 4 branches in 5hr? was this person like super stoned or just trying to get every single finger leaf
could it be they dont know what they are doing or maybe they just need some coaxing to light a fire under their ass
im not a fan of trimming but am lucky to have a few close friends who i can count on
how are you compensating them? based on time or by the piece?
so when do the kids get out for spring break?
do you guys have anything planned

this is the last week in feb and the year seems to be flying by!
hope everyone is starting their 2018 off on the right foot
fish, hope you are bringing in the catch and all is well
rhode, keep sending those good vibes

I was going to pay them half ounce a night 6-7 hours. I can't get an accurate idea of thier work if shits wet. I am tempted not to pay the kid anything since he basically did nothing. I tend to over, react when I get irritated, or angry, so I tend to try to control myself. Otherwise the dark twin reveals his ugly head( I am a Gemini after all.) I have a hard time with people who refuse to learn. I have given this kid Man Y chances, apparently he is only capable of doing yard work. It's really sad.

Not much planned for spring break. My baby boys 5th birthday party is Saturday.

Good morning packerfan.
Congratulations on your harvest and I hope you hit your goal. I hope you have better luck in the future getting competent trimmers. I would have been grateful to get some work trimming for most of my adult life. Keep looking I'm sure you'll find someone passionate who will take pride in doing a good job.

Good morning pop_rocks.
I really need to get motivated to build a proper room to grow in. Like you said there are a lot of things I could do with the tents, Im even thinking about using a tent to dry my harvests in with a filter so it doesn't stink up the house as much. I was even thinking that I could control humidity and dry time with cycling the air exchange fan and get a little more control over my harvesting process.
I'm a little bummed about my stupid toe injury because the workouts were going so well. I feel like I'm going to loose a bunch of momentum by taking days off. Luckily I was able to suck it up and work yesterday, I don't need to be missing days for this.
You are right the warm up is on. Even up here in the north it was over 50 degrees yesterday and forcast is for mid 50's here today. That's better than average and headed in the right direction. An early spring would be a welcome sight for me.

hey f'nut!
hope everything is good on your end
/how is rufus doing btw?
those are all good ideas and it would be great to be able to build out a room
i like your thought about using a tent to have more control over the drying process
with a few simple parts i bet you could gain the control you want over the drying process
/this is probablly one of the most important steps in the grow! a bad cure/dry will ruin even the most dank weed
50' sounds like you guys are in the middle of a heat wave!
it about the same temp here, somewhere between high 40s and maybe topping out at 60'
we just had a bunch of rain this week so its probably going to get a little colder
its gymnastic season right now so the mrs is spending a lot of time doing that with the girl
dont let the toe injury get you down, brother
hopefully it gets better soon and you are able to get right back on track

hey p'fan
i hear you, i can be a serious kind of person too when i need to
like you said, the worst thing is when you feel like someone isnt giving you a good effort
its cool you are willing to give some dude a chance, but if he isnt going to step up,then why bother?
your deal sounds pretty standard, trim for x amount of time to get this
but it almost sounds like he is milking it
maybe if you paid by weight trimmed he would work faster?
its tough to deal with some people but keep your cool and maybe give him another chance
i hope he does better the next time you work with him
that is awesome your son is turning 5! that is a great age to be
happy birthday to your little buddy!
/are you guys going to have some kids over or go out someplace to celibrate?
