I appreciate the positive outlook my friend, but I'm pushing 59 and saying goodbye rather than starting over is my choice. I have been a fuckup my entire life and no this isn't a pity party this is my choice. I've thought long and hard about this. I have no family and no friends, my choices affect no one. Don't let the drugs win my friend. I don't know you but I sense your better than that. The withdrawal is going to suck but the key is to own it and accept it. Tell it to fuck off. I would really suggest waiting until ur not detoxing to make that choice.
Ur experiencing dysphoria (the opposite of euphoria). Ur brain chemistry is all fucked up and the thoughts ur having are not representative of ur true reality.
So I'd advise u to wait, making a life or death choice shouldn't be decided while ur brain is in such a state...

The times I've successfully kicked I decided going in I wasn't going to entertain all of the suicidal dysphoric thoughts that run on a loop thru my brain during a detox.

Good luck man, don't believe the horror movie running thru ur brain right now.. It just isn't true

I've never gone through withdrawls without feeling suicidal. The mental aspects of withdrawl are far worse to me than than the physical sickness. Please know that you can get through it, and life can be good again. I really hope you reconsider but I do know how you feel right now.
