Hello All,
I know it's been a couple of days since my last update, but I got busy attending a cannabis expo in SoCal as I had to setup a trade show. I am back in the garden again today and the girls look really healthy. I get more and more excited about harvest everytime I go in the tent and look at my girls. I did some general watering today and made some notes and I plan to share with you my thoughts. I am now in my 6th week of veg and I have been feeding my plants nutrients since week 4. Each of my 5 gallon plants receive approx. 6-8 liters of water. I am also feeding 3ml per liter of Grow A&B and full strength supplements. All of my plants seem to responding well and showing not signs of burn or deficiency with the exception of Sour Patch Kids (Will discuss later). My environment has been very well controlled and I feel is ideal for veg. My Temp range is 73-79* and humidy range is 40-43. My plan is to switch all plants to 12/12 on Jan. 27th which is next Friday. My plant heights range from 9-15" with the more sativa plants leaning to the taller side. The day before I start flowering I will take a final height from veg state and post here, so that we can measure stretch of each strain. Lastly I made some notes on each strain which I will share below. I have also included pictures of each of my notes. Fruit Salad: This strain is thriving very well and loves to eat nutes. I have also noted that their was a large stretch of interal-noding during the 5th week. It is the only plant in the tent that doesn't have tight spacing. This plant has also been the only plant to stay directly under my Mars Hydro LED it whole entire veg life. Not sure if its the lighting/nutes or genetics that caused stretching, but I am predicting this to be my tallest plant. Cherry Bomb Auto: This strain started flowering about a week ago. I also topped this auto during the second week of veg. Once I noticed it began flowering I immediately move this plant under the Mars Hydro LED. My experience with this LED in the past is that it helps produce heavy crystallization during flowering. I will continue to flower this plant under Mars Hydro LED until harvest. I have a feeling that is plant is going to be short and compact, but should produce some good weight. It's also worth noting that this is what I am feed Cherry Bomb Auto while it is flowering. --Sensi Bloom A&B (3ml per Liter) --Big Bud (2ml per Liter) --Bud Candy (2ml per Liter) --Bud Factor X (2ml per Liter) --Nirvana (2ml per Liter) Sour Patch Kids Clone (Dark Heart Nursery): This is the only plant in my garden that is seemly struggling and has been since the day I brought it home and transplanted it. When it was transplanted into my 5 gallon I used Roots Organic 707 and it seemed to burn the clone. When I noticed this I didn't feed any nutes, but just straight plain 6.7 water. Then a couple of weeks later it showed a nute diff., so I feed it some nutes at half strength. I also noticed that it has been a little stunted. I think this is a very sensitive strain. I normally don't have this many challenges with a strain. I am going to continue to try and get this strain back on track, but I am not a fan of it thus far. I am hoping my opinion changes, but so far I am not excited about it. This strain is new to market and was created by Dark Heart Nursery and shown off at the Emerald Cup in Santa Rosa. I have included pics so you guys are more than welcome to share your thoughts also. I will continue to keep everyone posted as I progress through this grow. As always I welcome any thought, questions and/or comments. |

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to update everyone to my grow. I went out to the garden today and measure the height of all my plants and I have decided to go 12/12 today because of the plant heights. I am assume that every plant is going to at least double in size compared to their veg height. What I don't want to happen is I run into a vertical restriction because my plants grow taller than my overhead space. I have flipped the switch today and 12/12 will start at 7pm PST and run into 7am PST. I am also working on tweaking my flowering nutes. I was working with some local gardeners and just looking at some of their flowering results for supplement they use I was actually impressed. I am heading to the local hydro shop tomorrow to buy some different supplements. I will update what the final nutes will look like for flowering tomorrow. Lastly I did get the final veg height of every plant and will list below. Then when it is time to chop them down I will take another final height and this will allow us to see how much each strain stretched. Keep Growing! Final Vegetation Heights: Fruit Salad: 20" Jack Herer: 16.5" Green Crack: 15" Sour Patch Kids: 15" Blueberry: 15" Grizzly Purple Kush: 14.5" White Strawberry: 13" Lemon Garlic OG: 12" Sweet Zombie: 12" |

Hello All,
Today is the first day of flowering and I have firmed up my nutrient line for the flowering period. I will include the list of flowering nutes at the end of this post. I would also like to note that when this harvest is finished I will be sending a sample of each strain to a company in Northern California called Pure Analytics. This will be for testing the potency and contents of each strain. This will allow me to compare against the breeder numbers and also allow me to see how successful this grow was relative to future and past grows. I will continue to keep everyone posted as we move along. Flowering Nutes: Sensi A&B Voodoo Juice (Wk 1-2) Xtreme Gardening AZO (WK 1-2) Emerald Goddess (Vitamin B Supp) Black Diamond Rock Resinator Turpinator Bud Factor X Botanicare Silica Sensizym Flawless Finish |

Hello Everyone,
The plants have now reached week 2 of flowering and they are really starting to stretch. Since I have both Hybrids and Indica's I have organized the tent from tallest to shortest. This allows me to adjust the right height of lights for every plant. I have been giving the plants 2 liters of water (with & without nutes (alternating)) about every 3 days. The auto flower cherry bomb also seems to be doing good and has multiple colas since I topped it very early in the veg stage. Although because it is in the 12/12 the yield probably won't be fully achieved as auto thrive the best on an 18/6 schedule. I will continue to keep everyone updated as this grow progresses. I have included some pictures of the plants as well. |

Hello Everyone,
Sorry it has been awhile since my last update. I have been traveling very heavy and work flow is amping up since spring is coming. When I got back home from out of town last week I went to my tent to water my plants (normally water every 3 days) I was not a happy camper on what I found. My Fruit Salad which was labeled feminized turned out to be a male. I must have missed it in pre-flower stage, because I was under assumption that all seeds were feminized, Not sure if I should blame the breeder or Seedsman.com for the error. Either way I caught it in week 2 of flower, and there were no signs of bursted flower sacs but I cannot be 100% sure. My only hope is that my tent is not contaminated. I quickly chopped her down. My other challenge was that my White Strawberry by Strain Hunters hermied. Which was depressing as I was very much looking forward to smoking that strain. I chose not to remove the pollen sacs, and just chopped her down as well to avoid anymore potential challenges. I am now left with 8 out of my original 10 plants. Not how I foreseen this grow going, but I guess with anything in life you will have these challenges. I plan on getting some more pictures of my girls today or tomorrow as we are in week 3 of flowering at this point and everyone looks solid. No more males or hermies (knock on wood). I also took 2 pictures last week of the male Fruit Salad that was suppose to be a female and uploaded them. I am still shocked that Fruit Salad was a 100% male. Kinda of disappointing on the breeder or seedsman... Until next time. |

SSHZ,
I veg the Sweet Zombie for 39 days and I am guessing she is about 38"-48" tall. It is dark period for them right now, but I will get a measurement on her tomorrow and post it for you. |

Don't know why my pic didn't show up but I'll try again later. They must have some stretch to them as mine are quite small but very busy. I decided not to pinch them once as I thought they may need some height- now I'm not so sure!
