Hey SSHZ,

It's actually going really well. She is a nice short busy indica. I updated my log over at Rollitup with pics. You can check it out over there. I will add the update to this journal sometime tomorrow.

SSHZ,

I know I don't understand what is going on. I haven't really updated this site as I have so many forums that sometimes other ones suffer. My main two forums are GC & RIU. I am going to update this forum with every post from GC right now. I will also get some pictures today from week 3 SSHZ and upload them tonight or tomorrow.

The sweet zombie is looking good. She did go through a stretching period the first two weeks of flowering, but now she is starting to level out and develop some very tiny buds. She is also starting to slowly begin to develop a sweet smell almost reminiscent of blackberries. She always loves to eat as I am at full strength with her nutes and bumped up the P-K this week to a higher level. She is responding really well with no signs of burn or stress.

This will be my first run ever with a straight Blueberry Strain. The strain I am most excited about is the clone I got from Dark Heart Nursery "Sour Patch Kids". They posted some harvest nugs on their Instagram and they looked super frosty. Wanted to pick some up from the local shops, but figured I would just wait for my own harvest as not to spoil.

I love the blueberry strain. Yeah I wanna see the Sour Patch, looks promising. Yeah I like to grow my own, don't like all the old school hassle of running around looking then paying an arm and a leg. I med for ptsd and depression (military vet). And the med school the docs give me I forget a lot of stuff or do something stupid, lol. Damn zanax.

Nice. I am a disable Vet as well that was diagnosed with Chrons and PTSD, and thats how I started to get into growing cannabis. Then I started working for big Hydro/Gardening companies and just started working on perfecting the art of growing. Helps alot with my PTSD as well.

I live in Cali and the shops aren't to overpriced although it is a hassle sometimes. When I lived in Seattle their prices were hella high and would make you not even want to smoke.

No bud is more satisfying that the one that you labor over, and take the time to harvest and cure. It always taste and smokes so much better.

That's what I am trying to do. Go with big companies for soil grows and nutrient lines. Been doing a lot of networking and emails, my only problem is NC. So growing veggies also. Not knowledgeable in hydro, I get the concept of DWC. Was going to try it out, but no room right now, might try later. Just a big fan of soil, I use Fox Farm Happy Frog, cedar wood ash, and nitrogen rich bat guano. Did really good not having to give nutes in the beginning stages to mid veg stages.

Use to Live in Winston-Salem and also Ft. Bragg. I am not a huge fan of hydro either you get great quantities, but your quality suffers (Taste/Aroma, etc...). I would recommend using Roots Organic soil not as hot as Foxfarm and I feel the retainment and drainage of water is better. Plus I find that the raw material that are used in Roots is better from a peat moss standpoint.

As far as nutes go I find that their is no one size fits all. I like to use a blend of different companies to really maximize what I want to achieve. I most use a mix of Advanced/Botanicare/Humbolt.

I use to use FoxFarm when I first got started, but found better results with other brands. Plus Foxfarm is going through an internal turnover in their company and I think they are starting to slack on their products. Maybe not but just my two cents.

For the nutes, I used General Organics Go Box. I am in contact with another company to get samples for comparison. You are right a mix of different nutes brands is really great, but I am just trying to achieve which line is good all round. Make it simple just buying a one line brand. But I also mix nutes.

I use to work for The Scotts Miracle Gro. I was never a fan of GH and their line of nutes. Now I like their off-set vermicrop soil "Black Magic" that is carried in Home Depot. That is a quality soil as the peat harvest for that soil is top notch. Just not a fan of the "Black Magic Nutes" or "General Hydro Nutes".

Yeah I figure I will use up the rest of GO Go Line and compare with another company as soon as I get the word from them. Also use up the rest of Fox Farm. I am going to go with roots organic next, try them out.

With the GO Go Line I have found out that I had to cut back a lot. 2.5 ml to 5 ml max or nutes burn happens. Then I also have to use ph water on the next two waterings, to drain some left over nutes.

Yeah I have found GH to run a little hot sometimes also. Try a humic acid like Black Diamond or Sensizym, and use that with water to rinse the salts out of your soil to prevent build up.

Try using fox farm ocean forest. Then when transplanting move into the happy frog.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the delay on the update as work has been chaos this week. We are now into Week 4 of veg and this kids are looking good.

Up until this point I have only been feeding with water and mycorrhizae for root development. Also at the end of Week 3 I topped everyone of my plants to encourage them to bush out inside of focusing on vertical growth. Each strain seems to be responding well to the topping method. This week I will begin feeding with some light Sensi Grow Veg nutes and continue with my root development supplements.

I also went out and bought a Fast Fit 4x8 Tray and also a Botanicare 4x8 Ebb & Flow Table. My plan next grow is to switch from soil to Ebb & Flow, so I am getting started on purchasing all the durable I will need. I really like this stand no tools required and its super sturdy. I did not get the Botanicare name brand table, but their generic Duralastic. The quality is still really top notch as I stood in the tray once it was on the table and it held me without any issues and I am 175. Really happy with the quality that Sunlight and Botanicare provide.

My plan is to continue vegging these plants until they get about 24" tall and then I will be flipping the switch to run them on 12/12. After installing the Ebb & Flow Tray I lost about 22" inches in height. I have the Gorilla Grow Tent extension so I have an overhead of 8'. All factors considered that gives me about 52" of grow space to play with. I can also LST if they grow to fast and I need to make an adjustment.

I will continue to keep everyone updated. Please feel free to post question or comments as I love the discussion. I have included a couple of pics. If you would like to see something specific let me know and I will take a picture and post it.

Not sure how that happened when I was transferring data from GC to here, but for some reason I cannot edit that post so lets try this again:

Hello All,

I have been back in the garden today tending to the plants and making sure to feed those who are dried out. Looks like my Cherry Bomb Auto is popping pistils, so she is in flowering stage at this point. I have the Cherry Bomb Auto Harvest Date @ Feb 24 (Sprout Date Dec. 19). The breeder has 70-75 days from seed to harvest. Which is good because I am going 12/12 on Feb 1st, so I will only have the auto under 12/12 for about 24 days. I know this may affect my yield, but I just wanted to throw an auto in there as a perk while I grow some regulars.

I also took the height of each of my plants today. The left side of the canopy is relatively short as these are the indica dominate plants, whereas the right side of the tent those plants are taller and more sativa leaning. Below are the measurements of each plant @ 5 weeks.

I have also included two shots of the Cherry Bomb Auto.

Plant/Height (Inches):

Fruit Salad: 11.5''
Green Crack: 9.5"
Jack Herer: 9.5"
Sour Patch Kids: 9.5"
Grizzly Purple Kush: 9"
Cherry Bomb Auto: 8"
Blueberry: 7"
Sweet Zombie: 6"
White Strawberry: 5"
Lemon Garlic OG: 4.5"

Hello All,

Went back into the garden today to check on my plants. Looks like the Jack Herer & Grizzly Purple Kush are going to both be heavy eaters. They are averaging about 2-3 days (others are currently 5 days) and then they need a feed or water. I am still just feeding all plants the standard mix below until Flowering Stage:

Feed:
Sensi Grow A & B @ Full Strength (2ml's per Liter)
Voodoo Juice @ Full Strength (2ml's per Liter)
B-52 @ Full Strength (2ml's per Liter)
Black Diamond Full Strength (15ml's per 4 Liters)
Xtreme Gardening AZO Full Strength (1tbl per 4 Liters)
Terpinator @ Full Strength (20ml's per gallon)
Rock Resinator @ Full Strength (2ml's per Liter)
Sensizym @ Full Strength (2ml's per Liter)

The plan is to continue between Feed and Water until Jan. 31st at this point I am going to flip the switch to 12/12 unless I run into a height challenge. Meaning if I have a plant that reaches 24" before Jan. 31st than I will flip to 12/12. Since I installed a Botanicare 4x8 Flood Tray with Fast Fit stand I lost about 20" in overall height. My grow tent is only 8' tall.

It is also worth mentioning that I do have Phosphoload on hand to control any serious height challenges. I do not like to use PGR's, but I do keep them on hand just incase. I know I have other options such as LST or SCROG, but I am not opposed to using Phosphoload just needs to be used in correct amounts with proper flushing. Don;t everyone come at me about cancer, I understand the risks and everyone has their own preference . I included a picture of the canopy so that everyone can see! Until next time.
