Yeah that's the Burpee mat right there. I sure hope Blueberry is a girl, she's just blowing up!

Is there any sort of calibration with the burpee like say a blumat? Or do you just fill it and forget for a week?

I don't think anything would have helped my seeds. The runts were most likely unlabeled for a reason I popped some ripe ones next to my yogurts and their embryos are already looking heartier.

It's just a fill it and forget it, passive hydro. The mat acts as a wick and delivers water and nutrients to the pot. They stay moist all the time though, so that could be a problem soon. So far so good though.

Nice Avi ! I'm about to stick 2 more clones in yogi's and flip them. Here's my weekly pic. Gotta remember to take one with a ruler next to it, lol.

I had to go out of town unexpectedly. The media, perlite, coco coir, and peat, in the wide shallow yogurt media dried out so I think the seed probably died. I will soak a replacement.

It looks like a seed head might be about to break the surface in the tall thin Danone bottle.

But the squat square Layla bottle must have stayed moist enough, because the seed is up. I used a squirt bottle to wet the seed cap and teased it off with a bamboo sate stake, then teased off the membrane and released the cotyledons, exposing them to the light.

In the meantime, the plant I put into the boost bottle still looks horrible with the fan leaves changing color and the leaves in the center all curled up, but it is developing a nice little bud on top, so I will post a photo that I took this evening.

Sorry about the pictures being sideways. They are not sideways until I upload them into my album.

It is amazing how big some of you guys can get plants to grow while growing in such small containers.

I am enjoying learning by watching the experts and by learning by doing and learning from my mistakes.
