that mex by the originalthread starter looks kind of similar to the late 90's
drgreenthumb oaxacan i have
basically same finish time..i made few s1's in early y2k have one growing now
and
instead of catpiss which the first seed back then smelled like.
.this is more lemon pledge..[whew]
it may change back to catpiss though..
it makes piles of resin . its one manageable all sativa
..it does put out braids..i see no purple in it

wow, what a great oaxacan pheno Bushbandit found!!!
i am really excited to see a lot of variation in this line and
hopeful to find something similar to that of Bushbandit. it looks
like a dead-ringer for what i think was the oaxaca mom posted
in another thread here

well, maybe not dead-ringer. buds are a little more chunked out
and the leaves are a little wider. but its definitely leaning heavily
toward the oaxacan. very exciting

Thanks ReallyiCarus, no issues during veg or flowering. Oaxaca leaning, used the normal amount of nutrients as Indicas and most Sativas. The only Sativas that are sensitive to the nutrients I use are super tropical genetics.

Beautiful looking Oaxaca pheno of Purple Mexican Bushbandit. Hope you are enjoying the smoke. Looks like the Oaxaca leaning ones may show up more often then we might think. I like seeing more Oaxaca leaning genetics. She is truly wonderful smoke. Saving my last 2 grams for a family blunt. My father tells me the high reminds him of Thai stick from the 70's during his deployment. CBG .

doesn't look like much influence, if any, from the pck.
congrats!

how is the flavor curing out, so far?
i wonder if the ammonia terps will fade revealing more of a spicy cedar
Thanks, not much of a flavor change yet and has been 2 months now. The bud does smells very sweet n sour.

Hello Dr. King

Dr. King, a month or two ago I talked to you about the Purple Mexican in a greenhouse I was building. I wanted to show you a picture of the little ladies in their new home.
The soil isn't as dry as it appears in the picture. I use a layer of worm castings as top layer and it washes down into soil mix over time. First and second nodes are 1/2" apart from each other. As seedlings they both came up tall and lanky. I had them under a 600 watt HPS and three screw in LED's. Now they are getting stronger quickly and gaining mass. I have one Zipolite Oaxacan going and the structure is very different. It's early and I'm not familiar with the genetics. My early thoughts is they are PCK dominant. Looking forward to seeing them mature. Peace

Gorilla Ganja, I didn't realize that until you pointed it out. I just knew they were growing very well. I have had to sit on these seeds through most of last seasons grow. To finally plant them this spring was cause for celebration in my world. Then the Michoacán Cream's came out! WOOWEED!!! Had to get a couple packs of them to. I have some Destroyer's going as well. All the CBG genetics are doing great so far. (as expected). Thanks for the kind words GG. Peace
