Curing necessary with a Vaporizer
Well is it? It would seem to me that it wouldn't be necessary, but i'm not sure.
BTW I just bought a Vaporbrothers |

i got a silversurfer last winter and i had an indoor grow. i don't feel its necessary to cure with the vaporizing if thats all you have to vape. of course i did still cure properly but i had no problem using some buds that were only dried for a few weeks. i actually think you could use a fresh bud and it wouldn't really matter.

certainly you might get some benefit out of some uncured weed, but to utilize the full potential of all cannabanoids, you need about a 3 month cure . . . regardless of how you smoke it

It will make it more potent, smoother, and smell better. If those things are imortant then cure it.

I use a Super Vapezilla on a regular basis (all the time). You can vape bud right off the plant, but the bud must be broken up and dried out a bit before you will get a smooth vape going. I usually break a bud up and leave it out over night. In the morning it's ready to go just fine...
Peace, Kathy If you just can't wait, use the microwave for about 10 seconds, zap it twice. |

Thanks all.
I just received my New Vaporbrothers and i can tell that a nice cure would be better than none. Just the simple fact that it should be evenly ground up, yet fluffy. i have two types of bud right now, and the nice cure is a lot better. I did not see a thread like this at Icmag, so i started this one I hope this answers some questions, i know it answered mine Thx All |

I wanted to try this for shit n giggles, so I sniped one, tossed it in lunch bag, n zap!!! twice...but was still way to wet. So, the mythbuster in me sez, keep going (not that im busting a myth, just love the show) So, I zap it a few more times, checking between each time, and also letting it sit and cool asec. After 6 total times, it hit a sorta even spot. I tried half by cutting it up, but was still to wet, yet a head buz came on. I said, hmmmmmm Took the other half, put it in a small cup, and placed it directly under a spot light. After about a min in a half or so, should have timed it, took it off the light, and WOW!!~ Not crumbly crisp, but just dry enough!! Ima feeling DANG good right now. So, if ur in a fix, and need a bud, it worked for me, but I'm sure it coulda been stronger. Now I know when it fully cures, its going to be STRONG!!! SUPA STYLE!! Anywho, it was a blast trying it out, and fun to do, but nothing smokes like a properly cured bud!!! Peace!

Was your lunch bag paper or plastic? My microwave draws the moisture out from the center to the outside (just as it does with cooking food), so the first time it does feel more damp on the outside than before I nuked it. Do it a second or third time and then let it air dry for about 10 minutes. And I'm nuking for only 10~20 seconds at a time. I'd rather go slow than wreck a bud. If I have to cut the bud up into fluff and air dry it, I like to leave it out overnight. I'm sure some of this depends on your enviroment and how humid it is and whether or not you're in air conditioning.
Peace, Kathy PS Didn't think about the spot light idea. I'll have to try that one. Sounds like the best except for the effect that the light would have on the trichomes. Don't know on that, sounds like a good test after harvest as I'm waiting for the curing process. Last edited by zonkerpup; 08-24-2006 at 10:17 PM.. |

IMO the buds always taste better after curing , not much change in the high that I can notice. No reason not to throw it all into jars after its dry.

Wouldn't a microwave vaporize a lot of the THC? I'm probably wrong but it seems like you would lose much of the potency trying to dry it in a mircowave.
