Managed to feed them and switch the tent over to a vertical arrangement. So far haven't had any trouble keeping temps under control. Humidity is another matter. I have a basic room humidifier in the tent and that worked well with the LED. Not so much with the 860w. Between the heat from the bulb, the increased (aprox 20%) air flow through the tent, and the AC...I'm around 60%RH. According to my phone the current humidity outside is 46%. Fortunately I live in the SE and the outside humidity is usually high. So between now and flowering, I'll just keep the temps under control and count on some help from the plants and mother nature.
Quick pic I took of the new arrangement.
OMG!!! The picture came out correctly.

I think most people (including me) just bare bulb it. Put a fan underneath (am using the 15" Honeywell HT-908) pointing up towards the bulb and blow the hot air up.....and away from the plants. Exhaust fan will suck the heat out from the top and filter it. Cool the temps by drawing in cool air. I have an A/C in my lung room along with a variable controller on my 8" exhaust fan/filter. I'll adjust the air flow (exhaust) until I get the temps to what I want. 8" fan is over sized for our tents.....but am hoping with enough air flow and cool enough lung room intake air that I'll be able to control the temps. You have a ring side seat for this effort so you will know how well it works shortly after I do.
The thread was interesting on vertical setups. Seems like it maximizes light depth and helps maximize the potential of the bulb. I'll definitely be watching. I decided to build an cloner. It'll save me a 1 or 2 hundred bucks. The aero clients they have on the market now are ridiculously expensive. It's time to take cuttings so I need to finish this by this coming Wednesday.

Is it just a matter of cutting some holes in the lid of a tote and adding a bubbler?

Your plants look great around the verticals setup. Which strains are which?? As far as the aero cloner goes. You basically drill the holes, put in the 2inch net pots withy the bottoms cut off with foam collars inside to hold the clones in place. Also get a 296 gallon water pump attached to pvc with holes drill and stayers screwed in. The sprayers mist the plant roots.

Sounds a little more complicated than I thought. With all the stuff I still need to do with this grow......I think I'll hold off on attempting cloning until some future grow. Good luck with the project! Have you ever cloned before?

BTW - when I was taking the girls out of the tent for feeding......I spent some time really smelling each one. Six have a very mild or no scent whatsoever (according to my uneducated nose). Two had very strong scents......both of the Malawis.

Everything looks great and organized!! I wonder how strong those malawis are going to get?? Yes I currently have a few clones that have already rooted where cuttings were put directly in soil with rooting powder. I lost one and one isn't looking as good as it would in an aero cloner. It takes a little longer to root as well. I currently have 5 that are fully rooted and are vegging very well. 2 of them are big and will be taking cuttings after I finish building the cloner. My pump, sprayers, and collars will arrive at my doorstep this evening, so I should be finished by the morning.

I'll look forward to seeing the finished cloner project.
Do you anticipate growing mostly clones in the future.....or more of a mix?
