Moon cycle was a deterrent. Not sure if it was the full moon or what but a perfict 12 for 12 is great.

Why would you think otherwise that seeds wouldn't germinate? We keep our seeds viable.

Good afternoon ab.
I'm just stoked about a prefect 12 of 12 germinating. Your beans rock. I didn't doubt that your seeds were in great shape but I always thought that a small percentage of them wouldn't make it because of various reasons. I've had them come up upside down and have always had at least one not make it. I've never had even 4 of 4 germinate before and thought I might be my inexperience. Either way I'm super happy with how this grow is starting out. Now that their up and feeding on the light things should get interesting.

When you say the moon cycle was a deterrent do you mean I should be planting on new moon? I must be confused about the moon cycles. I thought I herd it's good to plant on full moon and the decreasing moon helps with growing roots. I must admit I don't know much about the moons cycles and am just doing things that I've read about in threads here on icmag. I'll get it right someday ab.

No, full moon (or actually anytime) a good time to plant. Some say full, some say new moon....no matter. Maybe the moon cycle had something about 100% germination....or most likely seeds were ready to pop! <~~~That was what I was trying to convey.

Glad they're up and out of their seed shell! It would be a good idea to transplant into 3 gallon as having them stay in smaller vessel will stress them, thus producing far less yield as well as growth. I know you are crunched for space. Just be aware...if you keep them in small cups that become root bound, autos will lack their full potential in the long run.

Good evening ab.
I think you are right weather full moon or no moon at all those baby's were ready to pop and are strong. I'll repot this weekend. I may need to get a few more pots and I think I need to make a stop at the garden center for more soil. I think I'll have room for all 12 in the tent. I may have gotten a little ahead of myself with poping 12 right off the bat but I'll make it work. They might be a little crowded until I get the males out. They are looking good and I'm looking forward to this grow...Fiddy.

Hi fiddy
You just jumped right in with twelve autos.
I see you say waiting for male to show. I thought all autos were female the ones I got were.
Happy growing and stay safe on that sled.

We do only regular autoflowering genetics.

Good evening Rodehazrd.
Yep I went all in with 12 right off the bat. Maybe the full moon was making me a be slightly aggressive. I just realized I don't have enough pots to put them all in. I guess il be trying to find somewhere to get pots during Christmas weekend. They might be kind of cozy until I boot the males out. This is going to be a fun grow and it's off to a good start. It's probably safer for me to work on the sleds and not do much test riding. I've never been good at throttle control, usually wide open or hard on the brakes. Thanks for stoping by and checking out this grow...Fiddy.

Quick update

The seedlings are all doing well and looking strong. I've given them some light kelp nutes on their last watering and they seem to like that. They have been above ground for 5 or 6 days and look happy. Here is a group pic.

They all look happy! Great job, Fiddy!
We buy used nursery buckets...maybe call around a few plant nurseries and see if they sell em. Most of ours are from trees or large shrubs...5-7 gallon, but 3 gallon work just fine....2.5 gallon in a pinch. Don't recommend any smaller. Roots like to stretch out.

Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this thread. I've enjoyed the handful of autos I've grown. It just takes a little getting used to in regards to their differences from photos but you can definitely pull some nice plants this way.
