CR3D X 3dg13

This week I popped a whole bunch of a cross I made last summer of a Female CR3D plant with my male 3dg13 and thought I would share some detailed information about the cross and my growing from seed methods.

First some history.

ChocolopeKush bud I grew from seed from Voyager coffeshop

In the fall of 2012 I made my third trip to Amsterdam and got most of my smoke at the Voyager coffeeshop because it is the best.
Their new Chocolope Kush (Chocolope X Kosher Kush) strain was one I enjoyed very much and was lucky to find a couple beans in the buds I got from the shop. I immediately grew these out and gave some to a friend to try outdoors. The femmed seeds grew beautiful and the resulting buds were just like the ones I got from the dam. Outdoors this stuff just went crazy and I would recommend for anyone who grows outside and wants a nice chocolate thai that finishes in a reasonable amount of time.

ChocolopeKush X OGkush x Trainwreck

I crossed the Chocolope Kush with my OG Kush x Trainwreck male because I wanted to make some more seeds and thought it would be a nice matchup. It was and resulted in beautiful male/female plants that closely resembled the mother.

ChocolopeKushXOGTW X RomBerry

I had got some Romulan X Blueberry seeds from a colorado grower that turned out pretty poor. However for fun I took a male Romberry and crossed it with the ChocolopeKush X OGkushxTrainwreck female and the resulting cross is outta site! Look at that crazy resin! It totally changed the plant from a chocolate hashy sativa into a blueberry/purple one.

CR3D - ChocolopeKushxOGTWxRomberry X 3dg13

The ChocoRomberry was such a tasty beautiful treat there was no way I could not pollinate her with the greatest male ever and the resulting cross was mind blowing in flavor and potency. CR3D is nearly as good as Grapelazerlite2 but the amount of keeper females you get from it leaves a bit to be desired. That is why I hit her again with the 3dg13 male and those seeds are what I will show in this thread.

I start 40-60 seeds in a hot paper towel that I ring out half the water from and seal in a ziploc brand sandwich bag. Then I put it in a warm safe place. I like this method because you can monitor the growth of the seeds from the very beginning and start making choices.

Usually after 48 hours my seeds (because i let them go a full six weeks before harvesting them!) look like this. You want to transplant them right before they start trying to root into the paper towel because it is difficult to remove them without damage then.

I prepare my seed medium by dumping and mixing half vermiculite and half reused soil into my mixin hole and mix it up. This is a good mix because it retains lots of moisture and the liberal use of vermiculite cuts any hot ferts still in the resused dirt.

I fill nine ounce plastic cups with this medium and put them inside these rubbermaid plastic containers that fit very snuggly. The cups have a single 1/4 inch hole in the bottom so that if a root comes out it wont get damaged when you remove it from the cup. Do not poke a bunch a little holes in the bottome of the cup! I then aerate the mix using a screwdriver before saturating the cups with just enough water that a small amount has drained to the bottom of the container.

I then push small indentations in the top of the wet mixture which i place the seedlings and cover them gently. Does not matter what direction just dont cover them with too heavy of medium and dont let any of the seedling come out of the dirt or it will get dried out.

I then place the containers three to four feet under my thousand watt high pressure sodium and watch them go nuts!

Glad to have you TT.
I thought I would show how Increated some of these strains so people don't have to try and decipher my original thread.
This cross is very similar to Purple Headgames available on seedbay. CR3D was used as the father of Purplelazerlite, Red Lazerlite3, and Purple Headgames.

A rodent got inside the grow cave (it happens) and ate all the CR3d(3dg13) seedlings :(
I popped some Pineapple3dg13 X Headgames3 beans to replace them.

Yes it is a bummer but happens sometimes. Not alot of green things to eat outside right now. Can you imagine how pissed I would be if i had paid a hundred bucks a pack for those? This is why i encourage people to make seeds. Then you can pop as many as you want and not sweat mishaps.
I will probably start a new thread with the PineappleHeadgames. Will come back to these at a later date. Inspired to pop these because I am smoking some Pineapple3dg13 and Headgame3 my buddy did outdoors this summer that is the best out of everything he did. He said I should cross these two and I told him I had already done that. The Pineapple3dg13 mom I used resembled the 3dg13 more than its sisters.
