Anyone Growing Vegetables Indoor This Winter?
Hello ICMAG fam!
Just curious if anyone grows vegetables indoors? I plan to grow some heirloom tomatoes in coco under a 1000 HPS over the winter. Looking for some solid producers of high eating quality for my high tunnels next season. Have a lot of seed of different varieties, but if anyone has a favorite tomato, please post it up! Eating quality is the primary goal here. It used to be the main focus of breeders 100 years ago, not so much today. I can source seed for any variety so don't be shy! Also growing some micro greens and a few other test subjects as the winter moves on. Would love to hear anyone's indoor veg growing experiences! |

hey lester... I tried growing tomatoes years ago in my greenhouse... they grew and were tasty... almost like a summer tomato.. but the skin was def tougher then a summer grown one...I do bring in my pepper plants and overwinter them in my greenhouse room- they grow very slowly in the winter, but they sure give me a head start in the spring...
herbs grow ok in the room... again nothing will grow like outdoors in spring/summer , but I'm interested how u fair under the 1000watter- def keep updating |
