A really nice shot. There are many ways to get pictures of trichomes. I can recommend the one that I use, for being really incredible in its quality/price. Digital zoom & manual reverse lens... You just need a compact camera of these pocket (now I'm using a Nikon of 60 euros) then you can get some 25mm lens (on ebay from € 100 or even less, but in secondhand markets, even less). Just with that, some wit, a great pulse and a lot of patience you can get photos like the ones I'm putting. The other way is spending a lot of money on professional equipment.

Nice shots mate, not worry, this need big lots time & patience.. I do not understand your question, you asking setup camera? With my way of working, I can not set anything, ie the cam is so simple that you can only select auto (scene, macro and landscape) modes. Getting these photos is hard, I usually get 1 of 20 shots (that's right now) at first I needed 50 shots to get one decent one. It also needs a lot of light and stability in the shot, and this is very difficult, because I have to shoot a few millimeters from the bud, without tripod, just using my hands resting on something (if possible), one hand for the camera and another for 25mm lens that I put in front of the camera. So the own flash cam hits with the 25mm lens. So needs to do a lot of ingenuity until you get decent lighting in the trichomes. It's complex, but a fun challenge and rewarded when you get some special photo...
