Highend in Canada
Hi Kanebosem
I live in Canada, a mutual friend (HMK) gave me 4 HE x HE seeds as a trade for some other valuables. I understand this strain is Rene x a (DJ Short's) select Blueberry from 96 or 97. No offence intended, but neither of these strains are that impressive IMO, although I am spoiled, and my only problem with Rene is the lack of 'kick', I find the taste to be way above average. We both love my strain 'Merritt/Watty Kush' (it has some serious 'kick', and share a love of old school skunk (roadkill) even though neither of us can get it anymore. Lo and behold when I started these 4 seeds I got 2 female phenos, both are very slow growing in soil-less mix (which I use). One smells and tastes very much like Rene, has somewhat dark buds (darker than the other pheno), is bushy growing, with distinct serrations to the leaves (big, Indica-like leaves). It is potent, tasty, and a good yielder, with decent sized buds on the end of each branch. The other smells and tastes like Rene x roadkill skunk (which I understand is a trait of the Blueberry), when you enter the room it is heavenly, this pheno has lighter (lime green) buds with a more cola dominant growth pattern, has giant banana plant-like leaves (huge for the plant size), and is one of the most potent strains I have ever smoked, bar none (it is also a good yielder), it is so crystally it looks like it was hit by a snowstorm. I am so impressed I felt compelled to write this thank you note here, so, THANK YOU. I have to say I am so impressed by this strain that I am ridding my rooms of all but the best genetics I have, because this is the bomb. In fact I hope you'll end up with my Kush strain, it's from Afghanistan circa the mid 1980's, and is the best Indica I have ever smoked, no nanners or hermie traits, ever, and is not couchlock at all (ask HMK), cause I'd like to see what you could breed from it. Anyway, peace, and my thanks again for the release of this strain, which will soon be known wordwide, as it's that good, and here in the mecca of bud growing (BC Canada), it's reputation will soon spread.
