Satori has Lucid Dream in it?

Hey everybody! I was looking up strains on leafly and decided to look up Satori. Leafly lists Lucid Dream as being one of the parents ( Satori = LD crossed to an unknown sativa, according to leafly). Does anyone know if it is true? I think it might be, but that's just my hunch.

Yea, i think the info is originally from Mandala guys themselves, but i'm not 100% sure.

Anybody know what plant (genetics) this Lucid Dream is??

I thought Satori was a blend of Nepalis. A sativa and an indica leaning Nepali.

GoatCheese - According to leafly, Lucid Dream is amnesia haze and blue dream. The only reason that makes sense to me, as for being part of satori, is I have a friend who seeks out blue dream because of it's high and when we smoke what I've grown, he always says the Satori is his favorite, so I could imagine, given his tastes, that Satori must be somewhat similar to blue dream.

Lester Beans - I though the same, but I think Satori could still have nepali genes in it as the unknown sativa parent. I'm really curious as yesterday was the first I had heard that some more commonly known genetics are in Satori.

I've always thought satori sometimes tastes like amnesia haze...never tried blue dream so can't comment on that

Satori is an excellent strain that's often overlooked.

Oldbean - that's really interesting, sounds like the Lucid Dream may have a good influence on it. I agree Satori is excellent, it's a really enjoyable high and the plant has good vigor with beautiful buds. I guess if you price seeds this cheap people don't expect them to be any good!

Hi Robney

You hit the nail on the head I think people are used to paying extortionate prices for over hyped beans & when a breeder like Mike comes along with diamonds in a pack for a cheap price people think they are rubbish.

A little like how kc brains is overlooked too

I kinda doubt the Lucid Dream they are reffering to is an Amnesia Haze cross, but ofcourse can't be sure.
Blue Dream is supposed to be a Blueberry-strain crossed to some sort of haze (SSH?), and i have never grown a Satori that would be close to a blueberry hybrid (taste or effect) and i have grown pure BB and BB hybrids myself.

There are indica leaning phenos in Satori but they are more spicey, not berry or fruity smelling like you'd expect Blueberry/Amnesia crosses to be.

The high of Satori is also sort of typical N. Indian /Nepali, similar to Landrace Nepali i have grown = somewhat trippy with a larger dose.

..but i dunno.

I hear you, but have you smoked a lot of blue dream? I personally wouldn't consider it too close to blueberry, and I get suspicious if it's really fruity because I've seen more BD with hazier overtones that create this incredible smell in the air. I've grown out DJ short's azure haze and HSO blue dream and both had distinctly fruity flavors that differentiated them from what I consider BD.

Funny you mention the indica Satori phenos, I have one and I agree they have a lot of spice, but there are some mild fruity flavors in there too, it's by far one of the more complex aromas of cannabis I've smelt. My girl and her friend smoked some the other night and noted some fruit/grape flavor in the spiciness, so I think that flavor is there, maybe not prevalent in the phenos you've seen. Also, didn't the make up of the beans sold as Satori change a few years after the release, like a Satori 2.0? I think I'm misremembering rumors as facts, but does anyone know?

You have a landrace Nepali? Awesome! Does it grow huge? Any pics to share? That's incredible Mike at Mandala managed to carry the Nepali high through the cross! Maybe I should pop those 8 mile high beans I've got as well
