Am I ready to flush?

I'm mid week 8 of 12/12. Planning on flushing 9/23 and chopping 9/30.

Forum cut gsc

From the pictures, is my plan above too late or am I okay?

Thanks!

SteadyDoesIt will become famous soon enough
Why flush ? There's no need.

Just feed water last two weeks or just do nutes all way through.

Flushing doesn't not do anything for taste

I think you're a bit late. Flush should have be done when flowers still had like 20% white ''hairs''. This way is easier for the plant to use those minerals in its tissues, lowing the final mineral content.

However, if you didn't exceed with ferts in the plant's life...pot will burn good pretty the same.

Is this how you determine when to flush? What if the trichs are all still clear?
Sorry about the newb question but I am a new grower and very interested in knowing when to begin the process. I thought I was supposed to watch the trichs and then take a wild guess of when they still had two weeks left.

Trichs are useless to me on determining when start lowing nutes.

Working with several strains, indoor, I can say tricks do not ripen as outdoor. I let plants go over and over and I never see a fully ripen plant (on trich's side). Yeah, various percentages of glands turn amber, but the most are still whitish or even clear…so it's pretty useless.

So what? I just look at the flower and its stigma, they're a good signal of what stage the plant is in.

Now, considering the plant still has some white ''hairs'' you know it will produce some more tissues (calixes). If you cut nutes in this phase you'll see a yellowing. If you cut nutes later, the plant will remain green, avoiding the use of those minerals and compounds remained in the plant that still have a way to move in it, form leaves to flowers.

On the other side, if you're growing outdoor, tricks will turn amber and they can be used as a signal.

Well, you'll find many other growers don't share the same opinion, but I've done this for years and nobody complain about the pot, so I'm ok with this.

Honestly it seems like just experience, trial and error and knowing a plant's genetics will tell you when. 12/12 is a catalyst, not a concrete number you can go off.

We don't all have the ability to finish out doors, so we're trying to find the common denominator...if it even exists.

I'm growing for my own use. However, I do anticipate (assuming I successfully complete this grow) sharing some of my harvest with friends/relatives. God help anyone that complains about the "ripeness" of free pot.

Thanks again!

Yeah OT,

I got tired of friends and relatives hitting me up and complaining when I did not give them enough or bitching about the cannabis, taste, smell, etc etc.
Now what I do at the end of harvest if I have any from the previous grow I have a buddy that works with Vets and PTSD and I give it to him and gives it away free to Vets in his group.
