Bodhi test run
Now that I can post new threads "due to a glitch" I have decided that I will replicate my bodhi test journal purely for the UK forum. Simply for the reason of, coz for.
This gear is not cheap by any means however to be gifted the chance to run this strain Hells Angels OG X SSDD has raised a few eyebrows amongst a few acquaintances (biker lads, 81 club friends etc) Those that know know. Info below. Bodhi test run HA OG x SSDD Ok so...I am starting this test run off as a journal as for some reason (which I can not find an answer to) I am unable to start any new threads off in the main forum. I was gifted the chance to run a test on Hell's Angel OG x SSDD shortly after speaking to the big man himself about growing out Angelica. Straight from the horses mouth info was invaluable. So anyway, on with the show. 11 seeds dropped into towel with the first seed cracking in less than 10 hours, shortly followed by another 8 that were all out within 24 hours. Two seeds seemed to be straggling and only just pipped their shells. All 11 were dropped into an organic compost mix with 9 of the 11 breaking surface over the next couple of days. I waited and waited on the other 2 seeds but alas it was not to be. I scoped the seeds to try and determine sex before popping. I figured 7 Female 4 Male. This is purely just for to see if I was right on my thoughts, nothing else, so I will not be dragged into any arguments about bullshit on sexing seeds. Anyway, if I am right, then the 2 that did not make it would have been Male. We shall see. The set up 4x4 Gorilla 600+ hps 4" intake 6" out Nice big filter Standing rotating fan Hanging circulatory fans Ozone machine (for when needed) Outside the grow room 17 litre pots (Eventually) Hand watering for now (Hoping to move on to automated during) Canna coco nutes Obligatory Chicken shit, Kelp tea etc. At this moment in time sitting in small pots which will then be moved into their final pots very soon. Will be using canna pro plus coco. The original compost will act as their plug helping to retain a little moisture. Under a 250w Phillips son t pia hps. Nowt much to look at for now but I will show you anyway. ^^^Approx 1 week after dropping in to muck. ^^^Just shy of 2 weeks after dropping in to muck. As you can see, I use small plastic party cups, cut and split to use as stakes while the stems build themselves up. Easy to put in place and very easy to remove. The 2 seeds that did not make it are now removed from the tent. During the next 2 weeks I expect to be potted on and under a 600+w. I will be taking cuttings when the time is right followed by flicking the switch approx a week later. I will update in a few weeks. That is all for now folks I forgot to mention. The light sequence is currently 18 on 6 off. Ok so no pics to look at for first instalment...you missed nowt! 2nd update... Ok, so here we are at approx week 5 from setting seeds. There has been a remarkable change over the last couple of weeks with all 9 plants responding well to being potted on. Plenty of nice broad lush green leaf. Photo's are not the best but rest assured I am very happy with the grow thus far. Cuts were just taken yesterday and all plants numbered for when the male cull begins. These will be switched to 12/12 and moved up to 600w hps this weekend. All cuts were taken from the lower parts. No topping has taken place. I am hoping for a 50% stretch. I have plenty of height available so no worries if they stretch more than that. The pictures are not the greatest as they were lights on, I will try and update with lights out pics over the coming weeks. The 9 plants have been under a 250w hps only so far. The cuttings are under a 2ft strip 32watts? Very happy with progress. 12/12 flip today nice chrimbo harvest all going well. |

If you can get another 2 more of those 2ft light strips and this
way you can lower the bulbs down to 12" above the plant canopy. Things are going nice.

The 2ft flouro is sitting approx 18" from the cuttings. I could possibly lower it by chucking a bit fishing wire into the set up if you think it really necessary? They are perking up canny after their 1st 48 hrs cut.
I aim to collect pollen from any possible males from the flowering tent and hopefully grab a mother or 2 from the cuttings tent. Fingers crossed.. |

Breeding with the testers is frowned upon.

Looking good over there HIGA, yeah you can definately add a couple more of those lights in your veg tent to speed things up, maybe move the 250 hps in there when your other tents ready to flip.

A bit of a odd edit to say the least.... I was just informing you of something nothing more nothing less.If you had the inkling to add a reference or remark you should have posted it in new post. Just being an informative participant not a nasty one. ph
