hi fellow ic members! i am planning on doing my first grow here pretty soon and would like some opinions on fs grapefruit. it would be grown in a cab similar to the c-13 under a 400w hps light. the 4 pack is what i am aiming at getting from seed boutique. the method of growing i am going for is hydro dwc in a rubbermaid 18 gallon storage bin with 4 netpots. how well does grapefruit perform under these conditions? is it a good idea to go scrog? any comments would be most appreciated.

Hey lc00p4 welcome to ICMag.

I am currently growing Grapefruit and I think your setup sounds ideal for her. I was originally going to Scrog but I didnt and now I wish I would have. She has lots of budsites and weak stems which is ideal for a Scrog setup. Just be sure to top her. I topped one of mine and left the other alone and the untopped GF is about double the height of the other. Good luck with the grow and be safe.

Top her for sure. Trim up the bottom real well too. i heard the seeds are tough. good luck with them. lets see your progress!

Agreed on the topping/ LST idea. I've got one Grapefruit that I've had to tie down about 4 separate times now. I'd say she stretched about a foot so far after switching from 20/4 at about 8 inches.

check out my thread on my sig.... i grew 2 femaleseeds.nl grapefruit and one c99 x line in a dwc 14 gal rubbermade w a 250 whps....
