Using builders plastic for GH

Hey all,
Building a DIY ghetto GH - was looking into builders film plastic for a cheap option.
Just checking if anyone has any feedback on it.

Also, will be setting up some shade cloth for stealth - will a shade cloth effect the grow?

6mil or thicker...

It wont last through a freeze as it's extremely britle when cold & it's typically not UV protected so you might get more than 1 season from it but not likely.

Builders plastic won't work very well, it isn't designed for growing and has low light transmission. you could try it though.

Shade cloth with have a huge impact. if it is put between the plants and the sun during veg or bud it will cut growth by 60% easily.

this is not a plant that likes poor light or shade.
