Jarilla
These are 11 weeks in flower. They look like they need another 2 weeks or so. Charlie said these were 11 to 12 week to mature but the seed description says 12 to 14. They are really sativa looking and kinda floppy with thin stems. |

Ok, I have them at 10/14 and using a 10,000 K blue light. I figured I would shave a week or 2 off flower times but not really seeing it. I might let stuff go longer than most would, so that could play into it.
You can tell these are a old sativa line. Nothing indica here at all. |

Those are 3/4 gallon or so pots filled with ffof with amendments. I vegged for 5 weeks, though due to germination problems I had some plants at only 3 weeks veg. I think the Jarilla got 5 though.

Could the 10 000K be "too blue" and have the same effect on maturing as "too red" HPS has (=taking longer)? Sun light/day light varies between 5000 K and 6500 K according to wiki-article. ..pure speculation. ![]() Did you find any hermies? Was thinking about Jarilla, but got Mangobiche instead, cause i figured CBG cleaned that lined abit before releasing them. Interested to know how they smoke when you get to sample some

I had 2 - 10,000 K along with 2- 6,500 K T-5's over my vegging plants and had no problems.
For flowering I used a 600 watt light with a 7200K Sky Blue Grow Light MH. I didn't use any HPS and won't be in the future. Personally I think HPS is not a natural light type. BTW: my 7200K Sky Blue Grow Light is very nice and bright. ![]() Check it out and I think it has a pretty balanced spectrum according to the graph. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.ph...&postcount=210 |

I seeded the buds with a male so no idea if hermies but think not. I have never used the 10,000 K light previous and have very little info to find on the net, so really a crap shoot with it. It does kick out some uva, so I am hopeful it helps.
I am quite sure it does not hurt but not clear if just using the white LED all the way thru would be just as good. Daylight spectrum is about 5000 K as you said, but not sure what the spectrum is very high altitude. These plants are often grown at 5000 to 10,000 feet elevation, and read the Kelvin spectrum goes up with elevation. It was about 7000 K at some high elevation according to a article on the net. Also, when you are closer to the equator you are closer to the sun. Add in growing up in the mountains and you are really high, so bluer is more in line with that. |

..but around the equator, the change isn't so dramatic,i'd imagine, cause the angle of Sun light doesn't change so much during a year. Really not an expert, but i would guess that 5000K-7000K could be really nice for landrace sativas indoors. I have seen people running small hps bulbs along with a 10 000K MH to give more red spectrum into the room. I have a 4500K MH waiting for my pure sativa grows. ..abit difficult to find nice 250w MH bulbs with more natural spectrum than the 10 000k, but there are more than few options for 600/1000w users, like Corky's nice MH bulb. I don't have that much experience with leds, but what i have seen from pics, plants really seem to like the new white leds. ..cannabis and chilies. Some chili varieties really don't like red/purple leaning leds, but grow nicely under white-leds. If you have nice white-led panels at home, i'd try just those on Mexis/Colombos/Hazes. I bet they will work great alone, w/o HPS or MHs on the side, if you have enough power in those leds, that is. I have been thinking about getting a nice white led grow light at some point when the prices come down abit.
