Seeds nice and settled in their Jiffy Plugs sitting in a Humidity Dome
Keeping them on a wick pad with PH 6.4 R/O T-5 Light across the top and warmer below. Preparing their Box this weekend Sterilizing my 6 inch Smart Pots Sterilizing the Chamber for shits n Grins again. As soon as I see some root action I will be ready to Pot them up. Also Transition them to LED. |

I think you can bring those lights closer once they all pop their heads up.
With my T-12 double bulb fluorescent fixtures I put them 8 inches away to start them out. But in your case I suspect it's because the light may not cover all the pots at 8" away. |

Yea, these lights run fairly cool. I will play with getting closer once I see how they pop out.
Now, should I go 12/12 or give them a week to start developing more leaf. My first run with 12/12 from seed I actually Waited a week or 10 days. Went directly into early flower nutrients It seemed to go well, but limited experience In growing, so not sure how effective it was. |

Most people will tell you to go 12/12 out of the gate. In my experience that's not necessary if you use small pots.
Since you can't produce crazy trees in small pots. Mind you I have a 4 footer now in a 5" square pot. ![]() I vegetated for a while this time. Well over a month. But I was training the plants to get bushy before I flipped to a 12/12 photoperiod. If you really limited vertically. Then flipping early may be wise. Note: It's better to flip early and get shorter manageable plants vs waiting too long and having plants hit the ceiling. Once you grow a specific strain you'll get a feel for what you can expect. |

Im still working on getting a specific grow style and of course my preferences as for growing my own stash.
I seem to be pulled in the Pure Sativa direction. I am old enough to remember some of the older classics. Their were some interesting different highs. The commercial bud I have lived off of for years was fine, but it was nothing that interesting. Lots of cool names. I'm thinking growing in soil will suit me nicely. So far I like it. Learning to be patient. |

I have flipped to 12/12. Everything looking good. Lights lowered as low as heat will let me.
