I would think some of the best growers are the ones not to many know about , they stay in the back scenes.

Breeders of today have less experience then the ones from the past they never cull in consequence, nor do they really test there males
100 percent of the time they will take someone elses work be it a female or male and slap it with another nice looking plant name it cat piss or something stupid and send it out to market ..

One thing about horticulture or growing is experience since the legalization of MJ in the states everyone now is a Guru lol yup with only 1 year exp you are a master lol
growing in your closet or in your warehouse
And yes even master growers have problems not every grow is perfect like they try to make you believe

There are names like mendo sure he has a nice out door grow but again it buys all amendments simple net search can get anyone what they need to know ..
What about the growers not so big that make there own soils from scratch no amendments or man made products other then there compost bin and get same if not better results but not in the large scale ..
i can very well say Well i am the best grower because i feed the world not just grow pot i have 500 hectares of land i have farmed for 50 years much longer then some names have been alive on this earth
i was taught just by picking up dirt or looking at it what its missing in minerals that is not taught in schools but years of EXP

So my thought is everyone is a master at there level there at
Growing is like a game as you get better you level up plain n simple
what one person may know about a plant some other may know more about in soil biology and so on

To each thier own. I'd focus on growing to the best of your ability. That is the ultimate goal. Always strive to do better and improve anything you find can be improved. Lot of growers look to bite off of others success which is fine you wanna have success sometimes its best to follow the path of someone who is successful. However it is important to never stop learning and molding your own techniques. Don't be afraid to try new ideas and never let failure stop you from pushing forward. The best grower is any grower who never remains stagnant and is always progressing and pushing forward. Lots of puffs and love to all you best growers

All organic growers are heros in my book.
