Question When do YOU harvest?

I know when to harvest and will harvest my first grow when trichomes are 50(amber)/50(cloudy). I would like some heavy stone to enjoy. Is that good(50/50) for what I want? Anyway, I did some reserch but can't really find any topic on it.

So, When do you harvest? Trichome wise .

I think 50/50 is to far. I like all cloudy with some amber tips. Remember the trichs will still turn amber while drying. Having said that the strain also has a say in how long I wait. Depending on the type of high (couchlock or uplifting) I grow the uplifting stuff longer.

50/50 is too far for couchlock? I didn't know if trichome still turning amber while drying. How about 20(amber)/80(cloudy)?? Is that ok couchlock? All weeds I buy seems cut early and gives me heady high doesn't seems too strong and I want something little more heavy stoney high for a change. Now this will be my first harvest so i'm little shakey but happy to cut her down. .

I knew when to harvest. I was interested in when others like you harvest. I was just wondering if I'm the only one want lot's amber trich or not. I'm going by trich only, not hair or leafs. Anyway I think I will let mine go 20% amber 80% cloudy. I was going to wait until 50/50 but stone silly said that would be too late. I'm on 58 day on 56 days strain. Anyday now.

Here's what I always do when growing a new variety. When all are cloudy and a few are turning amber, maybe 10-20%, I cut half the plant. I will then wait exactly one week to cut the rest. Then I have 2 choices. Whichever I feel smokes the best for me is when I will harvest on subsequent crops.

What strain do you have growing? Theres no problem going to 50/50 it's up to the grower. I only warn that going to far( once trichs start to degrade) hurts the high. I like to chop the top and finnish the bottom as TORC said if the bottom needs it. I start to flush at 20% by week 3 it's chop chop. After a month or 2 it looks like this

heres a BOG bubble at day 60

I'm growing critical mass. I will go with a 2 part harvest. Critical mass is good smoke, so I heard. Hope for the strong smoke to relax me after work . Thanks for your help. As you can see I'm still learning.
