has anyone on here ever made a speaker stealth growbox?
i think ive seen a few at other sites but not at ic...
id like to get some pointers before I build my own..
how to build a way to open and close the thing...

this was my first grow ever.
2-45watt cfl's and an 80mm pc fan for vent, scrog method.. sorry only pics i have..ill dig some more.

Lots of them, here in micro grows and I think in hydro and probably in design and equipment.

how did you build the removable front panel/grille?

it had a removable back panel that had the fan and ghetoo scrubber on it, it was attached with velcro.. so it just stuck on. totally lightproof, i had 2 of these identical just looked like stereo speakers. nice and stealthy.

Here's my stealth speaker in action.

I removed the speakers from the box and used a hammer inside to bang open a side. The sides were glued together. The speaker box is covered in a sticker like material over the pressboard and this remained intact along the top edge, allowing me to swing the side open and shut.

I used about 130 watts CFL and a single 35 CFM PC fan and got around 1.5 ounces per speaker.

do you have your intakes and exhausts going through the speaker mesh? or are they out the back? I'm really curious because I think Im gonna try to do a setup like this. Probably starting with 2 small tower speakers with a 70w hps in each and possibly a third speaker to be a mother box.
oporator: did you mean 130w between the two speakers or 130w each? are you using an 80mm fan running at 12v or a 120mm fan at a lower voltage to get the 35 cfm? how loud (quiet) is it? do you use any kind of odor filtration?

your set-up is great, but i see in a picture that the light is coming out of the box in the place where you mounted the fan. Isn't that suspicious?

You missed the other picture that shows the premium plus cracker box duct taped to the side with rubber band holding a dryer sheet over it.
