Nice. I hope you will follow up with a smoke report. Good luck this year!

The seeds were bought elsewhere than the Bay or Bou, but googling for TopDawg should yield some results. I'm not sure if this exact cross is still available, but there were several crosses made by TopDawg that used African genetics.
He's as mature as he's gonna get, maybe 3 months from seed, kept under-potted. The flowers open to reveal fully formed stamens (there's one visible in the upper part of the closeup). The anthers just aren't producing any pollen. He's just genetically infertile, I'd guess, as plant health is otherwise good, There are even beads of resin on the anthers, just zero pollen, viable or otherwise. Have you attempted to dry & crush the male flower to see if you could get some pollen to release?
Charles_Scott has a thread on making fem pollen & he was discussing drying & tumbling in a dry sift drum to get pollen to release. Just a thought. Your plants look nice as well. I like those thin leaves. |

That first male made plenty of flowers, but nary a drop of pollen.
The two remaining plants proved male as well, but flowered normally, with copious pollen. Don't have any females of the African Silk, but the boys will have their way with several other extreme sativa ladies. First virile male, full flower early August Late male, just now dropping pollen, end of August |
