Trouble ahead?

I live out in the farm lands of California. The problem we're seeing with Monsanto is becoming more aggressive every harvest. The question I have, has anyone heard of Monsanto approaching growers or any seed harvesters?

I wouldn't be surprised if they try and get their share wherever they can once it's legal on a national level.

I remember seeing a program or something about Monsanto hassling farmers in the midwest. A seedharvester in particular. If you're asking does it happen in CA, I couldnt tell ya.. Curious to know whats going on tho

i have read about lawsuits where they went after landowners adjacent to farms using their seed because part of the neighbors crop was wind-blown pollinated from the Monsanto crop. they had no gripe if they sold their crop. but bitched (effectively, i might add, in court) if the farmers tried to use part of their own crop as seed...assholes. judges that even allow suits like this to advance need to be horsewhipped & rolled in salt before any punishment is decided on. I know a plant breeder that developed seed that had potential to threaten some of the big boys and unfortunately these companies basically black balled the farmers to avoid it. They did so by threatening their supply chain for other necessities.

California farmlands took a large hit from Monsanto hoarding the seeds, but also going after any farm that had crop that cross breeded with any Monsanto plant genes via pollen or wind. A few cases Monsanto shut down farms.

The reason I ask is because Monsanto purchased a larger looking warehouse out here in Dixon, CA and it looks very heavily guarded. Just wondering if anyone has seen them try and pursue any certain strain of cannabis because once they own the seeds and genetic patent they will pursue anyone trying to grow their crop with legal fees and bullshit court until you give up.
