GrnSql.. around here they use 'today' Google earth to compare to yesterday Google earth (??? maybe months or years Idono) and if they can find a change that should have had a building permit cross reference, does not... they comea knocking wanting more than their fair shair plus penalties. Yup. They hit me with a Google earth map search too.
During the last billing cycle I caught the town tacking 40 bucks onto my property taxes that for a shed I dont have. The shed is on my neighbors property about 800 yards away from my house, maybe 100 yards off my property line. But what a bunch of BS. They send two people at two different times to make sure I'm not lying to them then they admit their mistake but now Im the one who is supposed to fill out a form to change everything . I told the dept head straight out that they suck and need to get their asses off their heads, that I wasnt filling out any forms and that they need to make the changes. I love it when I get a chance to tell those paper pushing rats to stuff it.

Same thing happened to me...got a letter from the city saying I had to remove things that were on my property. It wasn't even my property and it wasn't my stuff but they assumed it was. They never even did a physical inspection before they sent the letter. Just looked at Google.

Man, it pisses me of when i even read the google-earth bullshit you guys have to deal with!!

It's harassment and 'a show of power' by the US Gov./states while Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase and these criminals have gotten away with the multibillion derivatives-corruption that caused the financial crisis.
Looking at US Gov is like looking Italy where organized crime has huge influence on the gov. They'll hit a normal citizens with the law book every time, while millionaire criminals get a way with just about everything if they're insiders.

There's an obvious rise of corruption and fascism taking place all over the world
