Drying and curing in summer

Evenin all

I run a 10 lighter, so nothing massive but for the first time in years I'm finding the need to store bud for a while before using it

My usual method is, cut them down, 10 day to dry, then into those big 50l purple storage boxes from Tesco, then I just leave those in a dark room to cure on the branch till I need to trim

However this year I've really over reached and need a long term storage solution for excess

Which brings me onto boveda packs,

Has anyone used them and can anyone offer a decent recommendation for what type to use, there are 3 different ones

In the past I've always relied on banging a few fan leaves in the bins when it's getting to dry but really need to invest in something a little more reliable than that haha

Cheers

I use the boveda 62s they work great.. but don't leave them out for long or they will lose effectiveness... when they feel like dry salt in the packet they are done..

When the packs go gritty feeling, you can re-soak them in distilled water and use again.

Thanks guys

Had 20 of the big ones delivered today

Can I overdo it with them, I was thinking of 2 in each storage bin ( each bin has about 20 ounces on the branch untrimmed )

They are the 62s

Boveda works in a two way manner, so if humidty is below or above the package percentage (62 %) it will regulate it to towards those levels, so no You cannot overdo it.

Thats why Boveda is superior to other products a like.

Cheers Ollie

They seem to be working perfectly a few days in

Gone are the days of dropping a few fan leaves into the bins when stuff gets too dry it seems haha

Your welcome,

Yes they work remarkably fast and does a great job.

They will soon have there 56% oxygen scavengers released to retail, which is aimed towards concentrate preservation.
