Bolivian landraces?
Hi!
I've been recently gifted 3 different supposed landraces from bolivia. But i can't find any info/grows on them. Just a few references of bolivian highland/lowland. The names are from the place of origin. The three are: jacha mallku, samaipata golden and gran aiquile. The friend that gave me the seed didnt give me much info just that most of them turn purple and they are very late flowering outdoors. And that they are probably brought from colombia. The thing is: there are landraces from bolivia? Are they any good? Are related to colombians?. I just pop a few of them for the summer season. And want a second opinion, never heard of bolivian weed before. I have somebolivian friends where i live but they never smoked or being involved with stoners so they couldnt tell. Any info will be apreciated. Thanks |

Read about bolivian landraces a few times... some time ago a local grower was speaking about some lines called Tiquipaya Golden, Wiracocha, Yungas and Andine Rose.
The genetics should be related to either other Caribbean or Brazilian biotypes, as those were the two main spots where Cannabis entered South America. There are landraces anywhere in the world really, as long as the plant has been there for time enough to acclimatise and evolve. Good thing is that Bolivia was never such a big scale producer as Colombia, neither suffered the marijuana prosecution that happened there. So maybe is still possible to find untamed oldschool genes around remote villages and traditional farmers. If they came from a nice source, you may easily find some interesting plants that could resemble to the oldschool Colombians, Brazilians or anything like that. Looking forward to hear about your experience with those. Vibes. |

Never heard anything about Bolivian land races, but man would I be happy if I ran into those.
Good luck with that potential genetic gold mine.

Thanks mustafunk! Your words give me hope. I really wish they are pure.
They are in the making of first true leaves so not much to see at the moment. But i will share some pictures in a few weeks. When there is something worth to see. I really wish i have some jewels. Thanks |

Thanks Yaxu, that Jacha Malku totally looks like some red Colombians and Panamans I've seen.
The Tiquipaya Gold has a really nice structure as well. Vibes. |

Nice photos yaxu. Thanks for sharing. I didn't expect any photos when this thread first started, until those seeds got going.

Dezman greetings from Venezuela ...
Here we receive Charly seeds from Bolivia , unfortunately for some technical fault , we lost all strains except one ... gold ... I Tiquipaya cultivate it and I assure you is a very euphoric and physical sativa . I have no photos of mine, because I had no camera, when grown, but these are pictures that are on the web, descendants of those received . Sativa very powerful and pure sweet smells lemony , with something shorter time that the Colombian most famous flowering ... ![]() ![]()
