I thought I would share this interesting things we are seeing in Gorilla Bubble BX2. Everyone knows the gg4 is a prolific lateral brancher, well our inbreeding has done some special things in the branching trait, which is also being shown reliably now in progeny tests of outcrosses...
This one looks to have decided to try to throw a branch from UNDER the cotyledon as seen in the last two pics. Also it has decided to throw 2 branches from one side of its first node of false leaf. This is not trifoliate, thi is something else.... Vigor is outstanding and they are very hairy for such young seedlings, a good sign to come...

Im waiting to see if the branch under the cotyledon actually "shoots" its is bigger and unfurling it looks like today... crazyness lol...
Every one of em is branching from that false leaf node after cotyledon, i seen that before but not this other crazyness lol...

Whorled phyllotaxy ....used to see that when revegging photos. Jury is out whether a good or bad trait to pass on. Definitely a mutation.

Nah...
Not whorled phalotaxy... The plant is still showing normal nodal formation with two leaves opposite each other. Something entirely different is going on there. It is strange & I'm interested in the outcome. Keep us posted Tony. Also... "Trifolate" is a reference to three leaflets from a petiol... like a clover leaf. |

yes it was a "terrible" smell,,lol but in the BEST of ways,,, i had a great stroke of luck,,,having a look through my bean box when tucked away was an old envelope,,, i opened it up and there it was marked "gorrilla bub" x5 reg seeds  ,,,,,totally believed i had no more "deathbubble" or "gorilla bubble" so very happy and as these will be run in r2 when the present run is cut in a month or so with plenty of pics and reports and get myself prepared for when they sprout cos there speed and strength is turbo like  ,,very nice start to the day lol,,,,,s2 |
