Tom Hill X-18

Did you guys pull it because it was old or did they sell out?

Was just getting ready to try to grab some despite being old.
If you pulled em for that reason could I still have a crack at em??!!

If sold out, then im a week late and a dollar short ha!

I bought a couple of packs from around 2010/12.. It's definitely the same batch that's always been up on Sbou.

Two weeks ago I threw 20 x X18 in for a swim, after a light scuffing, and got nearly 100% germ.. I have since lost a few. The tap root came out but then the seed decided to rot out. I think I have 13 left.

These definitely have life in them yet! My seed had been in the cold for the whole period since purchase.

Good luck in your search Tony. Hope you seek some out.

That's great news about the germination! I would be interested in watching the grow show if you should decide to journal those.

Damn Tony, hopefully they still have a pack somewhere!

I doubt they sold out. I looked at them a month or two ago (maybe a little longer) and there was something like 60 packs still listed. I requested them as freebies with the order I placed at the time and got a pack Stoked to hear that they're still germing!

I scuffed them, soaked for 24 hours and then between paper towels. Worked for me this time round. Not sure if my storage is any better than seedboutique.

I wouldn't mind a crack at them myself, if they're still floating around at the Bou

Bad germ issues with these x18's. Out of 30 seeds i only got 4 plants, out of which few were all most dead too.
The seeds are about 10 years old. Think Tom Hill said he last ran x18 around 2005

..bad storage maybe, cause alot of peeps had germ issues with Tom's seeds from Seedbou and 10 years isn't that old if the storage was in order. ...dunno.

Oh.. and Tom Hill said a while before his forum was taken down, that there was no germ issues with the X18 seeds he still had back home

I have also Reserva/DNA's X18 Pure Pakistanis vegging ATM. Nice aromas to be found there too. Same line for sure. Genuine x18 the DNA gear also, but it's still different to Tom Hill's, cause DNA's were made with one mom and dad, while Tom's was open polination.

DNA's line seems to be sweeter over all, thou there are spicier phenos also
But my Tom Hill's are all atleast abit spicey, thou there is sweetness also.

Tom Hill's X18 is nicer, but if someone just wants to try the aroma of this old paki line, do try DNA's version regardless of the drama
In the end it's the weed that counts, ay

Hope you find some of those seeds Tony
