Does it mostly come down to someone ratting on you or are is LEO using smarter techniques.
Have you ever been Busted?? If so how did they get on to you??
This thread if answered might help everyone with specific dos and don'ts.
Did anyone get busted because of a high hydro bill or did someone squeal then they pulled your hydro bill ???
Help out the membership,tell us what happened

Well I havent been busted yet, but just informed that someone ratted on me.a nosey neighbor just blowing smoke out of her ass, whom had no proof what so ever.... if it is true or not i took everything down for a bit.... anyway a friend of ours was busted and it was on a tip the cops got from his Ex-girlfriend who needed extra money so she called crime stoppers, the cops showed up at his door told him they had a call and wanted to know if they could look around he of course said no... and was watched for about a week and was having a hard time getting his grow torn down.... so eventually the cops came a knocking with a search warrant based on observation, hydro records and her testimony... the thing that did him in was the fact that he grows for say 4 months til he has enough for a years supply and then tears it down and takes a break... well the difference in the hydro bill was enough i guess to raise suspicion. As well as his ex testifying.

so i would consider the fact that if you are going to stop growing for a bit make sure you continue using the same amount of electricity if at all possible, leave your light on like usual and what not. AND LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS! KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AT ALL TIMES!

If you can't keep your mouth shut what makes you think the people you tell can?

I've been arrested before not for growing but for distribution and it was a rat.

My brother got popped buying a few pounds from this one guy. He was doing it for months until he went to buy it and cops were in one of the bedrooms waiting. Pretty much the guy he gets it from got busted and did the deal with my brother to reduce his own charges. Thats why dealing is so shady. You could get set-up buying or selling the stuff. Grow your own and and dont tell a soul.

I wanted to throw something else in here too. The narc who set up my brother I actually seen driving around with the citys crack dealer. They drove by me one day and I had to double look just to make sure it was him and sure shit it was.. If the guy wasnt dealing crack id let him know hes hanging out with a narc but since I dont really know the guy to well and not into the crack scene he might have to find out the hard way.

I'm trying to verify if the majority of times people are busted is by mouth (or rats).
I realize that your hydro will almost always give you away (I've a digital meter on my house).Leo needs just cause to pull my hydro records.

You're probably right But it would be nice to confirm and/or poll to find out if there is another common pratice LEO employs to bust us

I dont know if he was referring about my story and the cops selling fake weed but they were selling the regular commercial bud that they busted the dealer with because it was the same bud my brother was used to getting the previous times. Just after the money exchange happened the cops came out of the bedroom with guns drawn.
