High bro!

my outdoor garden gets a verry pamperd, organic treatment.
pictured below is my base mix.. its a 5+ year old cow manure compost pile, the plants love it!
I add Perlite, red lava rock, native soil, a small amount of phesant manure, blood meal, and bone meal.
The HTC Garden area has also been blesse with some of the richest, best balanced native soil in the country. Ag Country.

later in the season Ill supliment with top dressings and Guano/Manure Teas. these feedings are applied shortly before, and during bloom, and mainly consist of Chicken and Phesant teas.

Plants in the ground, with adequate drainage and proper airation, will thrive with LOTS of water.
Some of the larger holes will drink 10 Gallons a day and want more!

as the HTC Gardens consist of different varieties, the application of soil mixtures, feeding etc also vary. and widely!

here, I will quote a "general use" mix, that can be applied to many lines with good results.
PER 20 GALLONS
Base Mix 60%
Native soil 15%
Perlite 10%
Red Lava Rock 10%
1/1mix Phesant-Chicken manure 5%
1 cup Blood meal
1 cup Bone meal

Feedings are not pre decided. between myself and my lead gardener, we feed as we are told to.. or in a sence, we stop when we're told to..lol I have found, in my gardens, plants will take what they need best, when they want it. so I let the plants call the shots, and tell me when.

Happy plants prevail in an adequate medium.

That sure is a lot of manure, 60%! I have the manure but not the willpower for getting it to all my locations. There is a lot of low brush to climb and duck through. I use vermiculite and potting soil to aerate the soil, and fert it with dry organic ferts and/or chicken manure. I'm trying some guano this year, just top dressed with some a couple days ago. I used 5-5-1 super bat guano mix which is bat and seabird guanos and earthworm castings and sprinkled some super phosphate over it to bump up the phosphorous level.

right on pipeline!

the manure compost is more/less 'potent dirt', as its been a standing pile, outdoors, for 5+ yrs... broken down very well..
I dont even advise using manures that are less than 12 months standing (as fillers).. but everyone has their way.

good to hear you got yer top dressings on early enuff, as it can take a month or so for the nutes to wash down in natural conditions.

that guano mix sounds like something Id use as a tea... tried teas?

Pretty sure some got washed down today, we got 9 tenths of an inch then it rained a little again.

I would for sure be using teas, but i'm trying to minimize trips as much as possible. Actually it is a tea mix but can be topdressed or used as an amendment. This guano mix was a little pricy at $15 but it should do well. Its called budswell and made in California.

The manure i use is for sure 5 years old, likely much older than that. Its good shit.
