Hehe, it indeed looks funny I hope this green Godzilla won't deteriorate too much during the coming storms...

Hi there, people!

Lately I have been too busy with my job to keep the journal, but here's the final update.
I harvested the Jarilla, because on my visit on the 10th of November I was surprised to see it rotting heavily while it looked fine 3 days before that. I couldn't dry it fast and the loses became even bigger - about 80% of the big top buds are lost to brown mold.
Anyways, I harvested enough - about a pound of fluffy buds, and discarded the rest.
The Jarilla has great bubblegum smell in the bag and sweet after-taste, but what bothers me is that it has low potency and a type of high I used to get from seeds the product of wild hemp pollination (high CBD/THC ratio?) - low ceiling, pure but not pleasant effect, somehow the high is blocked. I hope this changes with curing.

Some photos from the harvest day:

By the way, I smoked on several occasions buds from clones of my Peyote Purple plant that I took shortly before removing it. I liked it and all 3 friends that grew the 3 clones (2 of them on balconies, 1 in a greenhouse) liked it. Thick smoke, lots of flavor (sweet earth), sweeter than the Stardawg (earth and coffee) I grew last year, yet there's also a lot of similarity in the flavor (kush?), and again a pleasant and strong but not heavy (tiring) high. High-quality indica indeed.
I have also recently smoked the Guatemala (G3) and Jarilla (J2) grown by a friend guerilla-style. Both were smooth smoke with a pleasant but not strong high. The Jarilla was a bit tastier, perhaps a bit more potent and with a quality high that doesn't feel like a hemp hybrid the way my Jarilla feels.
I still have hopes for my Jarilla because it's somewhat similar to a green Panama plant that I grew last year, and which had a weak clear effect in the beginning, but now - after a year, the high is stronger and way more pleasant.

Hi there, people!
I wanted to write my impressions about Jarilla for some time, but I think most of the times I get inspired to, I get too high and the story doesn't leave my head. Zamaldelica is mostly to blame, heh.
After about a year of curing, my Jarilla pheno is exremely clear weed, to the point of what many would call "I'm not high"... and yet, I like to smoke it, especially in the morning, pure, or in a mix with other weed. I don't do it out of lack of what to smoke... no, I have a rich stash of many strains to chose from, and still I prefer to smoke this flavorful shwag. Clear, focused, sober effect with sharpness of the senses and freshness of the spirit. It doesn't get much stronger with more smoking, the strongest it gets is slight dreaming, but there's something attractive to this weed that I can't explain.
When you mix it with other weed, it transforms even indicas into what we understand by "sativa" - sharpness of the senses, mind seems sober, yet full of emotions, sometimes slightly paranoid. Even 30% Jarilla in a mix with a kush is capable of transforming the effect into something like a more trippy 75% Haze hybrid. It limits the foggy stone mental and body effect and allows you to smoke more of powerful weed, that would otherwise make you uncomfortable or plain stony, but instead makes you higher and higher.
Mixed with Zamaldelica is my preferred daily smoke lately. Very clean, sharp, functional, yet emotional. Zamaldelica alone is not so emotional and extrovert.
Honestly, I can't recommend this pheno to people that don't have other weed to smoke unless they like light effects. But if you also have other weed, this one is actually very interesting variety to mix into your daily routine.
My friend that grew Jarilla guerilla style, gave me a few grams of cured buds of his harvest some months ago, and I liked it a lot, smoking a few days exclusively from it. Now this weed is classic pure sativa - clean, happy, joyful, flavorful, with the only downside of being weak, about 3 times less potent than Zamaldelica. But it's effect is perhaps the purest "sativa" I have bought online from any seedbank, true authentic old-school day-brightener. Smoking more of it doesn't get overwhelming, just gets more complex, spiritual and inspiring. Reminds a lot of the first times getting high many years ago.

Bottom line:
Very pure sativa for its flowering time. You risk getting a pheno that doesn't get you high, so you'd better prepare for selection. In all cases not potent but smoke is flavorful and smooth, with variation of that true mexican high. You can joyfully puff all day long, though I noticed its effect, however weak, lasts for a long time and you don't feel like smoking often.
I personally am glad to have grown it, because living in eastern Europe I've never smoked authentic mexican weed, only reading about the mythical bricks of various quality. Now I have my own swag, it really looks so, and it really has a high that is rare to find nowadays even in seedbanks that specialize in old-school strains and effects. Thank you, Charlie and friend from Sinaloa!

I have some seeds left and might give Jarilla a try again in the following years.

@Yoss33, Tnak you for your impressions. I subscribe to most of what you say, specially if you have tolerance to smoke (everyday, several puff's). I would add, seems you psique changes like pre/post-psychedelics (maybe mind expanding?), but also very "grounded" (don't want to get to metaphysical on this one). I've put less seasoned people laughing while I was gettin' relaxed/social/loose. But if I smoke more, I get like that and even higher. Once I brought only a mostly Jarilla stash to a party, and the after party during the morning was a surreal experience, Jarilla's (or some phenos at least) don't really have a ceiling let's just say, words cannot describe really.

I have a lot to thank for @sinaloa and Charlie for putting this up for years. I dunno if the stock at CBG is old, but don't know how it doesn't get sold out. Probably when it's over, people will be crying for it, as many other cases in the past. I putted the money again on it for some more packs, it's definitely a family of clear, relaxed, trippy (in some cases) high, that needs to be kept pure and shared trough the world so it's never lost eheh.

keep it UP
