Hey BubbleBlower-- what strains have you found in researching tests that are high in β-Caryophyllene ?

Wow. Thanks for sharing the video of Scott stating that all plants will be under 0.5% THC and between 6-10% CBD. Seriously. That video says it all! Using the word "hemp" at least 3 times...then saying "this is for all the mothers who want low THC for their children"!

They won't pull this line because it has made them too much money. He has confirmed to us that their secondary tests were not 100% 20:1. Yet the advertising copy remains...

This sucks! Therapy is a great plant. Awesome structure, great smells, decent yields. Rather than a "master piece of scientific breeding" (as claimed on the CBD Crew website), this seems like a sloppy attempt to do what others have or are already doing--but with lots of fanfare and unstable results.

Breeding 20:1 varieties isn't rocket appliances. It's a lot of work/time to do this right (maybe that's the problem?), but it's not intellectually challenging. I guess growers will have to look elsewhere to find high cannabinoid / high terpene "hemp" qualified cultivars that they can grow for national (US) and international markets. Yep, that's right folks--if you haven't heard, low THC products (<0.3% THC) are legal to ship anywhere in the US under Sec. 7606 of the 2015 Farm Bill. Non-THC cannabis is legal here if your state has an industrial hemp law. That's CBD, CBG, CBC, etc, as long as THC is below 0.3%. Hence the rush to announce "the world's first hemp qualified high CBD variety in seed form"...total slap in the face to all those who have been doing this the right way in my opinion.

Rant over, carry on.

I don't think Therapy needs to be pulled.

And as much as I disagree with hyperbole in general, I doubt it is an issue that they advertise it as a "masterpiece of breeding" etc.

The issue is with one claim and one claim alone:
That every bean yields a 20:1 CBD:THC pheno.

They need to adjust this claim and things are good. At least imho.

If they say "1 in 3 plants will be guaranteed to have the 20:1 ratio" it would be fine.
If I was them, I would make my promises conservative and say 1 in 4 plants.

The problem is that Therapy is supposed to guarantee the ratio in every bean, therefore being the only line where patients can find a high CBD plant without requiring lab testing.

Rather than continue to claim this, I would say sth along the line of "We worked hard and long on Therapy but unfortunately we still fell a little short. We know that now and will continue to work on the line until we come out with seeds that fulfill our claim of "high CBD plant in every seed". Until then, if lab tests are not an option for you, here are 4 signs by which you can identify a high CBD plant from your pack of Therapy seeds".

Share some ways of identifying such plants without lab analysis and done.

Damn, it still sounds like you have a hard on for Shanti. He offers 20:1 seeds and you get 20:1 plants (and others). All the while you already have a super line of type III plants that you sell for 5 hundy. Sound like a first world problem. You should be more upset at the regulators that restrict the amount of thc you can grow.

It was obviously advertised as "High CBD ratio in every bean for the first time ever".
The fact that it doesn't fulfill this promise makes that false advertising.

.....

In my world it would all be fine, if the Therapy was advertised differently and it was openly communicated that you will find A 20:1 plant in a batch of 10 seeds guaranteed not that EVERY plant will be like that.
And I like to think that the decision to advertise in this way was a CBD Crew decision, not a Shanti one.

...
After a few months therapy appears as discontinued.

Now after getting a lot of great feedback from growers and medicinal users, CBD Crew noticed that not all seeds came out with very low THC, high CBD.

Many many thanx to socioecologist for his great and serious test sharing with the comunity and for was not been a shanti's fanboy but a patients fanboy!!

CBD Crew has a world first in releasing this long awaited low THC and high CBD strain. While there are rumors of seed varieties originating out of hemp strains, the CBD Therapy is solely derived from recreational high THC cannabis strains and has taken some 4 years to try stabilize with the use of science. Fully lab tested in both USA (The WercShop) and Europe (Fundación CANNA, Spain ) all the CBD Therapy came out all low THC high CBD and the seeds were released to the market. Now after getting a lot of great feedback from growers and medicinal users, CBD Crew noticed that not all seeds came out with very low THC, high CBD. Some closer to 5:1 even a few 2:1, so CBD Crew did an extensive new round of testing of the latest seed crop to see if the variations occurred often. They found that 50-75% of the CBD Therapy seeds will have very low THC, high CBD, but 25-50% could have higher THC. No seed will produce only high THC, always both CBD/ THC. Never seeds with higher THC than the CBD, but variations from 20:1 to 2:1 can occur. In every package, there will be one or more low THC, high CBD phenos. CBD Crew are now working on making the CBD Therapy even more stable, to make it easier or the growers and users. CBD Therapy will be revolutionary in treating people who do not wish to have high THC like those suffering with Dravets syndrome, MS, Crohn's , fibromyalgia, inflammation issues, anxiety / depression or Epilepsy or those who are susceptible to the psychoactive effects of THC Cannabis. While it will not be something to cure cancer on its own, it provides a seed strain that can be controlled in one’s own grow room and further in one’s extraction making to mix together to create a best suited medicine for all types of illnesses and conditions. We do recommend people getting the cannabis lab tested if possible. While growing indoors might up the % a little, the plants will still be very low in THC compared to other cannabis strains. WARNING: This is NOT hemp and can not be grown as hemp due to the risk of higher THC than 0.5 due to it's genetics of pure cannabis.

Searching for an alternative more stable low THC strain (if any) I found that

my CBD Therapy has slightly less THC but still is close to 1:1. So even after CBD crew adjusted their claims on their website, the information was still misleading.

Given the amount of plants they would have tested, it's nearly impossible that they did not know before releasing the seeds.
