I think 4 out of 9 would be good if they were regular seeds.
For a feminized version, it is a bit disappointing but I wouldn't cry "scam" either. I'm under the impression that if you go feminized and say you don't do it to "protect your property" or simply make more cash, then you likely do it to produce more consistent results than you could with regular seeds. 4 out of 9 does not seem consistent enough for me to justify feminized seeds. But that's just like... my opinion man

@ PrimalHaze...did you grow the Z8's? Don't know what I have (no testing) but still keeping them and seeds. My feeling with what I have is mostly THC and...
Gave some away with a moniker and now it's all they ask for... Smoked some last night and said "Hello." |

I had a few Z8's the year before last. I don't think the cbd was prominent in any of them. One was surprisingly potent. I made the mistake of smoking it the first time on my way to work. Red eyes and noided, it was hard to maintain composure.
Lots of resin too. Smells ranged from minty to b.o. musky, fruity. One reminded me of cool ranch doritos. I made loads of f2 seeds and still have 10 or so original f1s left. I think the afghan haze male must be pretty nice. I've tried ASH, MasterKaze and Z8/afhz and thought they all had interesting terps and highs. Especially the mkaze, my current favorite - thanks to pinkus' selection. |

Yeah, Master Kaze is another people ask for. I've always wanted to grow the straight Afghan Haze but I don't think it will finish in time outdoors here.
Sorry OP, didn't mean to sidetrack your thread. |

We received more seed from the vendor as compensation for the inaccurate advertising and have 9 more seedlings up and stretching. I'll post the test results from these as soon as we have them. While I'm hoping that there was just a mix-up with the seed the first time around, the test results were pretty clear....it's the same result that we see ALL the time in our own plant development projects when we cross a high ratio (i.e. 20:1+) plant with a 1:1 plant. It takes one more generation of breeding to lock in a line with the level of consistency reported in Mr. Nice's random samples...
More to come in the next month or so as these seedlings grow large enough for ratio testing! |

Got another example of this BS...
https://www.instagram.com/p/BENAzNRu2eQ/ I have no connection to these plants or the testing, but 2/3 were 2:1 CBD:THC. That is nothing like the test results posted by CBD crew. Just sayin'. |

your link show a plant with a 20:1 CBD:THC ratio, i dont see that CBD crew advertize/guarantee all the plants to be 20:1, am i missing something ?
here is the strain description : CBD Therapy CBD crew have a world first in releasing this long awaited low THC and high CBD strain in a stable seed form. While there are rumors of seed varieties originating out of hemp strains, the CBD Therapy is solely derived from recreational high THC cannabis strains and has taken some 4 years to stabilize and find with the use of science. Full lab tested in both USA (The WercShop) and Europe (Fundación CANNA, Spain ) the CBD Therapy will be revolutionary in treating people who do not wish to have high THC like those suffering with Dravets syndrome or Epilepsy or those who are susceptible to the psychotic effects of THC Cannabis. While it will not be something to cure cancer on its own, it provides a seed strain that can be controlled in one’s own grow room and further in one’s extraction making to mix together to create a best suited medicine for all types of illnesses and conditions. A master piece of scientific breeding that will allow the individual to take back control of his or hers life, supplement a person need for cannabinoids, and generally improve the welfare of those seeking to use it. |

Take a closer look. She had 3 plants, one was a 20:1 and two were 2:1.

yes i saw but what i meant is CBD crew never claimed that all the Therapy seeds will be 20:1 CBD:THC, at least thats what i understand when i read the strains descriptions on their site. i dont know any strains that has no variation, even skunk#1 who is known to be the best true breeding strain ever made has some variation but in the end the keeper phenotype need to be found in a packed of seeds so even with feminised seeds it has some variation. i dont know how complex is the heredity of THC and CBD but it must not be so simple to true bred a 20:1 CBD:THC strain, maybe in one or two more generation of selfing. as i understand Shantibaba posts, CBD crew strains will be improved again in the future.

I'm so tired of this BS. Yes, they did in fact imply that every seed would be 20:1+. The title of Shanti's thread over at his place is:
Quote:
Quote:
Here--again, in case you missed it earlier--are the alleged test results: ![]() Every single plant tested is 20:1+. When the real world test results come in from independent growers and 50% are type II cannabis instead of type III, we can safely say that there has either been a mix-up in seed somewhere or this is a textbook case of "deceptive advertising". Consider the responses that I have received from both Shanti and his acolytes: instead of saying "there must be a seed mixup," everyone is backpedaling on the original claims now ("we weren't guaranteeing all 20:1s, we were guaranteeing the chance to find a 20:1"). I call BS. |
