Exciting news for our state . Wondering what it takes to start a dispensary . The legal implications , if it's profitable for the grower , etc.

Wondering if anyone from a legal state could chime in . Want to get my
foot in the door .

The bill didnt sound great in the start, but they are adding other ailments to the list of allowed patients. I just lost a very dear friend to breast cancer, and wish this would have taken affect years ago...

I skimmed thru the bill, the price for dispensary owners was something like 50-100k, growers and producers was 200k. Its finally happened, the day we've been waiting for.. Its going to be up to us to ensure this things done right, and we're liable for the quality that is brought to market.

yes the processing/producing licenses start at 200k

They're allowing upto 50 dispensaries in the state. No flowers, no smoking. Edibles, oils, ointments, concentrates only. Such a fucked up law. We cannot have the flowers, but can have the oils produced from the FLOWERS..What kinda hillbilly shit is that?
For those who want to try an alt. medicine, and dont have a tolerance, may vape their first bit of rosin, and it may be too strong for their tolerance...Leading them to never try it again..I think this rule is silly to say the least. I agree there are better ways to medicate than flowers, but having the ability to try flowers for a new patient may really help to get their tolerance to a point, where they can really enjoy the edibles, and oils, and get the most benefit from them.

I would imagine, we wont start seeing dispensaries for nearly a year or so?? Also, will they free the people from jail who were incarcerated for possessions of small amounts of cannabis? And those who have done the time and now have the felony marks on their legal record?
