Goodbye Friend
I had to say goodbye to my best buddy today. My 8 year old dog lost his long battle with cancer. I don't even know what to say right now. That dog was everything to me. I held him while the great people at his vet put him to sleep. I plan on spreading his ashes at all of his favorite spots. Here is the last picture I took of him. He didn't have the energy for our usual long walks or hikes, but loved sitting in the sun by the ocean. Thanks for being always being there for me, I'll never forget you.

I only knew you from Green Squall's avatar but it was evident even from this small scrap of digital media you were loved. Rest in peace, or perhaps rest in awakening.

Greensquall, my thoughts go out to you friend. Losing a pet is akin to losing a family member for me. Feel lucky for the time you had together and cherish those memories. Hang in there. Best vibes go out to you my friend!

sorry for your loss.
dogs have been better friends than peoples in my experience...sucks to lose a friend. my dog is closer to me than my brother (not proximity wise either....) errr... be grateful of the closeness you've shared.

had to send one to the rainbow bridge myself about a month ago...condolences.
Ended up with a nice mastiff pup to fill the void, and she is doing great. |

My dream is that when I pass through I will be greeted by all our animal friends we had the pleasure to know. We usually have 3-4 dogs at at a time, so for over 40 years there will be a bunch.

My sympathies, it’s hard to lose a loved one, especially a pet. There’s a different bond, I don’t know what you call it but I’m sure it has something to do with how things are communicated. I did the same thing when I put my last dog down…held her in my arms.
