another brownie thread

well me and some friends are makin some brownies today. I basicaly know how to make them. I just need a few questions answered. I plan on making cannaoil then using the cannaoil for the brownies. Is this the most efficient way?
1. how much canola oil should i use if i am working with a half ounce
2. how long should i cook the canola oil and weed for ( temp & time )
I will most likely be using brownie mix, not making from scratch.
i cant wait to feast on the magical munchies

i got another recipe from a friend
take 24 OZ of canola oil
half oz of bud
cook for 2-3 hours
strain out bud, or keep it in there
proceed with brownie instructions

Also, I would really really really use the method sourdiesel716 posted, with water. Not only does it keep the mix from reaching to high a tempature and burning, it will make it taste slightly better. Cannabutter is some NASTY tasteing stuff (in my opinion), and when you see all the gunk that goes out with the water and won't be polluting your brownie goodness, you'll be thankfull.

Of course you don't have to, but it really does help.

it will but as pez says it will be nasty. in oil it is very easy to burn your bud/trim and when it burns it just charcoals up.... your better off smoking it

canabutter is better in my opinion and for cooking I think its better than oil.. you need a couple hours to make not matter what you do....
