2 X 600watt VS 1000/1150watt with light mover
All same brand bulbs from Ultra Sun. All on digital ballast. All on same nutrients connected to the same hydro system. ALL other factors are "controls" only variable is the light sources between 2 x stationary 600w and 1150w on a 5 foot light rail track.
My own custom built flood and drain/recycling system. Mostly House and Garden Aqua flakes line with some additives Great White, Silica blast, Floralicious Plus, CalMag. Predictions????

I'm watching closely. I just added a new 1000 watt ballast and bulb to my room(already had a hood). I now have 2 1000 watt systems on light rails with 2 4x5 tables. I'm thinking of ether 2 1000 de systems or 4-6 cmh bulbs in the future. Some say 1 315 cmh is comparable to 600 watt hps.

I previously ran a side by side with a stationary 1000w against a pair of stationary 400w's and it was really really close with a very slight advantage to the 400w's.
Two 600w's against a moving 1000w is going to be a close call but I will give a guess towards the moving 1000w. Time will answer this one way or the other. |

2 600s should beat an 1000/1150...well it always did in my gardens.....yeehaw...I stopped using movers and started using 600s like 9 years back or so...

I'll put my money on the two 600's with their combined 180,000 Lumen count and even light spread, compared to a 1000w's 140,000 lumen count passing by on a mover.
I used a 400w son agro with a light mover in the past and would get 1g watt , they work. |
