Did I just kill my friends seeds?

My friend had some Northern Lights seeds that he couldnt grow out so he gave me what was left of the pack for free saying I'd hook him up at harvest. The seeds looked good, not sure where he got em. I tried germinating them using the paper towel method and nothing happened. folded the seeds up a paper towel wet it, put in a ziploc baggie for 3 days and none popped. I read somewhere that the bleaches and stuff in paper towels can damage seeds during germinating. I feel bad telling my friend that his seeds are useless anyway, but I'd rather it not have been my fault. What do you guys think?

Some seeds can take longer to pop. Is the ziplock bag in a warm place? I put mine ontop of a heating pad that women use. This helps pop them faster then normal and those hard to pop seeds that might cause problems. If it's not in a warm place, try putting the ziplock bag in a warm place for 24hours and see if they pop.
Good Luck

PS, I've used just about every paper towels and never had a problem with them not popping.

Some of my seeds took upto seven days before germinating. I do not use bleach, not necessary. Just be more patient.

Just tell him

My friend shit happens.

Have you tossed em yet?
Keep trying if not.
It might be the seeds or it might be something else, too wet? too warm, too cold?

But just fess up. You sure as hell didn't mean to kill em, if you did at all.

You sound repentant to me!

Age of bean and such should be accounted for. Sometimes they pop sometimes they don't. I , when using the paper towel and baggie method , didn't zip the bag but merely folded it over once and put it on the fridge. I just soak them for 24 hrs. and plant them in a moist medium now. This works best for me.

Thumbs up Get my Bogglegum

Those seeds might germinate still but if they get to stinking just toss them and order BOG Seeds, Bogglegum from www.seedsdirect.to as it has NL in it but is much better. This shit will grow for rookies too.

But you know a guy can't expect much in return for a few seeds. 12 of my seeds cost 55 bucks. Were you gonna give him more than an 1/8 for his seeds? If so he gave 6 and my pack has 12. BOG

328 gram bogglegum grown indoors in soil...

WHATEVER YOU DO.....DON"T PUT BLEACH ON YOUR SEEDS

I have heard this before, but I'm almost positive bleach will kill seeds.

I think you guys misunderstood part of what I said. I didnt put bleach on them and I dont think anyone would ever do that, sounds retarded. I was talking about the bleaches that they use on the paper towels to get them white, ive heard talk that they can bleed out into the seeds and damage them.
