Ok, Ive already made decisions and bought most of the stuff for my grow but im curious what you guys would come up with a $200 dollar budget. This would have to cover everything except seeds (Lighting, soil, nutes, equipment etc..). I see the hps flood lights at econo-light.com the only real option for lighting that cheap. I'm going to be setting this all up in 2x4 closet. Thanks and any input would be helpful (as long as it isnt just "spend more or your wasting your time").

Couple of pots, some Foxfarm or similar soil and a 150 to 175w hps lamp. With a small amount of nutes it should be around $199.99

Or you could do a flouro grow a little chaeper maybe

Well where I always start off with on my grows is size, ventaltion, and especially odor control. You have a closet, now find out how you are gonna vent all the hot air out of it. Biulding a DWC or just going dirt will be cheap. The expense comes with Lights Fans and Nutes.

I personally use BOG's method of soil mix which is extremely inexpensive.

Perlite $5.00
Blood Meal $4.00
Bone Meal $4.00
(Meal: This will last you at least a year with the number of plants you will be able to grow in a 2x4 room)
Sam's Choice Self Feeding soil $6.00 per 3 cubic feet
(One bag per every 2-3 females)
Foxfarms Grow Big $15-$20.00
FoxFarms Big Bloom $15-$20.00
Small Fan $10.00
150 Watt HPS light $79 - $100.00
(This will be your biggest expense, but much better than floral.)

something else to consider is oder control, but with your limited budget I don't know how you can buy anything to cover what you would need. If at a house, no need to worry. Just make sure that you keep it on the DL.

Thanks for all the input guys but heres the hard part. No place around me has any decent nutes or supplies. Homedepot has crap and so do the smaller gardening places/nurseries around me. I want to mail order all of that stuff but I dont want to have to make multiple small orders from numerous stores. Any store that I can order all my nutes and organics from online and maybe some of the other things i might need? Def going with econolight for lighting tho.

So I'm just a little retarded and it turns out there is a hydro shop up the street. They carry full lines of dyna-gro and foxfarm. I'm wondering which is better, i know they are both good so if you've used one of them im sure you have good things to say, but im curious if anyone has tried both and seen any difference. i would buy 3 4 ft flouros and get the cool bulbs and warm bulbs for them.alternate the spectrums.then go down and buy a cheap box fan.get down to wally world and buy some soil and ome shultz fertalizer.mabey just bout 60 bucks.then go online buy some decent beans youll do fine.i dont care what anyone says those 4 ft flouros worked for me when i started and i got decent buds from them.ohh and GET A TIMER MABEY 5 BUCKS.
