Weed tourist - Vancouver or denver

Hello fellow tokers!

Will be visiting USA In May for work and will have a few days spare. Thinking about taking an internal flight to experience some of what's going down other side of the pond.

Looking to spend a couple of days chilling / smoking.

Would you go Colorado or Vancouver or anywhere else?
Any recommendations gladly received.

Peace :tiphat:

Just got back from denver a few weeks ago and the quality of flowers in recreational disp. Is not worth the costs, edibles are a ripoff, but there is a lot of quality hash oil. Check out my reviews from this thread:

Don't have much info on vancouver, but I'd suggest Oregon myself. They are so new with limited regulation so prices are low and quality seems to be there.

Ha, yeah haven't paid for weed in a LONG time! Sure going hurt :)

Mountains sound good, anyone can hook me up with smoke friendly hotels / b&bs be great.

I'd read that Oregon wasn't easy to buy Rec there? Not the case. Anyway isn't it supposed to rain a lot there like the UK ?! 🙄

Good link dude. Enjoyable read :)

Check airbnb.com , its the best site for traveling anywhere, I used them for my Denver trip and an NYC trip. Cheaper then hotel.

Maybe early on it was harder to find in oregon but there are places listed on Weedmaps as rec. You could also consider Washington, it appears prices have gone down in the rec disp, some of the prices I heard last year were crazy.

its Colorado bro..its all trying to go smoke friendly. if not. you don't make it in any business besides like baby clothes and baby food lol

Man isn't Oregon where that standoff has been going on for the last few months. What's that about man, defend your base or something. Anyway cheers for advice chaps. Seems like you need to get some coffee shops on the go so you can chill and have a good old smile. Love the Dam but generally the weed is pretty poor there these days.

Yea forgot to mention that Portland is right on the border of Washington so you get a two for one deal on legal cannabis in the U.S.

While the PNW is generally friendlier than Denver, I'm not so sure that you'll have the amount of products to choose from in OR or WA. Though, I've no experience w the scene in the PNW.

Both places have their +s & -s...
I think, weather wise, Portland/Vancouver is more mild than is Denver.

If you're just looking to smoke flowers/buds than it's hard to beat Portland. The prices and quality are better than WA or CO and the selection is great at most local dispensaries. There's a mountain with 3 ski areas 2 hours from the airport, an ocean 2 hours in the other direction, and Washington is 10 minutes to the North. Portland also has more breweries than any city on earth, legal poker/blackjack anywhere that wants to host it, crappy indian casinos, vegan strip clubs, and a dude with a handlebar moustache hand-roasting coffee on every corner.

I've been to both and I would choose Portland. Better food, environment, and cannabis. I only saw 4 shops in Denver, but they were all overpriced garbage. You'd be disappointed if you know what quality is supposed to be like.

There are a lot of rec shops in Portland and Seattle. If you're not happy with the rec product, you can probably make a friend with a medical card to try some of that product.

Lots of good shops up there, shoot me a PM if you'd like the specifics.

That's very far away from the cities.... our states here in the USA are massive compared to Europe

Canada is a better destination for a UK tourist. Less of a culture shock than in 'merica and we're loaded up with expats from the UK. Plus you're much less likely to be shot.

No legal recreational but it flows like water. The key is to know a local toker, preferably one that can show you the islands and other points of interest.

I think if you wanted to show up and smoke like a prepackaged beer and sand trip to Mexico, the rec states would be better. It would just be more interesting to come here if you're an "off the beaten track" kind of person.

There's a reason like minded people flock here from down south and back east ;)

The exchange rate is probably also another point in Canada's favor....that said, I personally wouldn't call "less culture shock" a positive, isn't that the whole point of flying a thousand miles across the planet?

My gf and I drove to Oregon in December to buy legal weed for the first time. We only made it to Medford, but I hear Portland is nice. We went strictly to buy weed, get high, and come back. We stayed in Weed, California that night.

Some of the buds we got are pretty damn good. I got 8 strains. Unfortunately, Oregon only lets recreational users buy flowers. Hash oil and edibles are for Oregon medical patients only.
