Biomax Shrimp Compost
I'm in my 4th grow and decided to go organic during my 3rd. It was the best move I ever made.
I spent a few bucks on a good mix this time around and I can't believe the difference it's making in my grow. I've grown in Miracle Grow MC soil, and my own mix with cheap walmart soil. Neither even compare to the mix I made with the Biomax Shrimp Compost. heres a link I found: https://premierhort.com/eProMix/Garde...impCompost.htm very highly recommended if you can find it in your area. I personally mixed it with: - EW castings - Bone meal - Vermiculite - and a hell of a lot of perlite

Hello,
I went with FFOF for my last harvest. I also used primarily ewc, guano (3-10-1), molasses, liquid kelp. And as a suppliment when needed, I used a touch of Alaska fish and Earth Juice Bloom. Using the soil with the ewc and guano is such a drastic difference in teh buds. The flavor, the vigor (despite grower errors), the quality of the smoke- all much better then when I used just the Alaska fish and EJ Bloom alone in a chicken shit premixed organic soil (Kellogg's Patio Plus- very hot). So, organics is the schiznit. minds_I

Shrimp compost is very good, some have issues with the smell but a well composted mix shouldn't smell for more than a few days.
Shrimp compost creates an immune reaction to the plant, the chitin contained in the shrimp shells is similar to that of certain fungi and soil pests, I've read a few times that this causes the plants to react by growing hardier in expectation of an attack than never comes. Some labs are working on products containing chitosan (sp?) to have the same stimulatory response but organic magic is strobger than a bottle right? Peace and keep us posted Sub's

minds_I - Organics is the schiznit and the plants think so too.
Suby - Thanks for your informative input. I never had any issues with the odour...to tell you the truth I reach my hands right in when mixing and I never smelled anything unuaslly fishy or unpleasant. I wasn't actually sure to the benefits of the shrimp compost and I bought in mainly for the great mix of other ingredients. I just picked up another 3 35L bags for future grows because I have been so impressed with its results. ^ The first pic is of my Tangerine plant from seed at day 20 of 12/12 with a cheap soil mix The second pic is a clone of that same plant at day 21 of 12/12 in the shrimp compost. To be fair the clone was vegged almost an extra week...but you can see the difference.
