Autopots
Anyone use these?
Thinking about a new system to save the daily chore of hand watering. It's a toss up between drip set up and these. From what I read results are comparable between the 2. The autopot seems easier to set up and maintain, although I have read a couple of guys complaining about a valve that can get stuck/ clogged which can drain the rez into your grow room which didn't sound like fun. So what do you guys think of this system?

Well I use both. Autopots for chillis and drippers for my indoor garden.
Both are much of a much in terms of running. Drippers of course you have run off to deal with unles recirc. But, I know ganjababa really digs Autopots and biotabs which means just plain non ph'd water if in soil from beginning to end, nice and simple and great results. How ever I love drippers. So simple. Dump a bucket or two in to the res. Mix up nutes, ph and let it do its thing. I like to drip once an hour during lights on in flower and upto 6 X 1 min drips for vegging. Once the plants get on the drippers they take off. And you can keep the huge levels low with regular dripping as you are always providing fresh feed to the medium / plant. |
