BLOCK HEAD... pointers/advice please
Hello Folks,
I was informed that my order of Block Head and Fighting Buddah should be here any day. There's enough information about FB on here to sift through. The Block Head open pollination... not so much. I've got 2 4x4 tables (I thought I would do 4x6, but nope) and plan to run each pack on it's own 4x4.Has anyone run the open pollinated BH yet? What'd ya find? How'd she grow? How long did ya take her? Blockhead regular Indoor 150 seeds of the classic Spice of Life variety have been open pollinated during our selection process to preserve this rare, elusive, large yielding sweet smelling family. More tightly selected improved Blockheads lines will be offered in the future, but this is your rare opportunity to preserve what the original population offered. Once this seed bulking has been depleted, not more of this open pollinated pure line will be offered. Indoor flowering 8 to 10 weeks I've done some searches on the original SOL BH. Should I expect the same from openly pollinated beans? So I have like 15 packs of seeds on the way, some things I've been wanting to run for a long time but never was able to... stuff from Serious, DJ Short, DNA among others. But reading through Chimera's responses here and elsewhere makes me want to run these first. I'm actually ordering another pack or two of the BH just to hold on to, it sounds like something special. I realize these are from SOL's original stock but I understand F2's can vary significantly from the parents. I really appreciate any feedback! LH |

Hey LH..
I think Jahaze ran these and was pretty positive about them. He's got several threads around in this forum and they're all really detailed. Maybe he'll come in here and give his opinion soon or you can dig our his thread. It's not that old so should be on this or the second page of this forum..

Hi LastHurrah, I grew out 2 females. They are hardy plants with a nice hybrid type effect with one plant having a bit more head than body and the other one pretty balanced effect of head/body. These are great for finding a flavor profile and perhaps breading with. I had a cherry pie/hash tasting one and one that was a grape/berry tasting pheno. Both were decently potent and very easy to grow. I have since stopped growing both due to finding a blockhead sibling in the lullablock line that i like more. Had I not found that girl I would still be running the cherry pie/hash blockhead. Some of the best vape flavors...yummy. Anyhow, you cant go wrong with the OP and you will certainly find something unique for sure. My cuts ranged from 9-11 weeks but that is a personal prefrence in smoke and some may wish to flower less or more....again personal preference.
good luck.... Last edited by Jahaze; 02-01-2016 at 04:48 PM.. Reason: spelling |

I think it was bodhi that did a blockhead bx line.?
And I seem to Think it was purple frostbite that ran through some. I remember some killer pix but I can't remember if he decided to continue/keep the line Maby he will drop some knolage. My interest has always been in the grape pheno Iv heard about, but when I ran a single clone that I found in Denver alas it was very citrusy n not at all grapish. Prety sure bodie said he discontinued it. Not sure why but that it was up to the growers to make more. Good luck w your grow there should b some fire to b found Big ups respect and happy growing |

TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY
I got replies to my thread...
![]() And my beans came in the mail! ![]() I want to thank all of you for the replies. Kalbhairav - I'll be looking into Jahaze's threads and thanks for the expanded info on the line. Jahaze - Plants look f'ing great! Is this what I have to look forward too? If so, I'm stoked. A question tho, how's the stretch? My style for this round is vertical bare bulb donuts. It helps if they stretch some. Anything else you care to add, don't hesitate. wannabeebreeder - looks like our packs came from the same shop. Congrats! I'll be looking forward to your works with them. Heusonomics - Thanks for the info. Grape is good for me, but that cherry sounds pretty good too. Tough spot to be in, heh? So for the record, the following hit my doorstep today, 20 days since I mailed the two orders, both shops in Canada: Blockhead (Chimera) Fighting Buddah (Chimera) Ultimix (Chimera) AK47 f2 (Crazy Horse Seeds, another open pollination) Shishkaberry copy (Ustad) Trainwreck (Richard Williams) Cinderella 99 Sweet Skunk x C99 Northern Lights x Sweet Skunk Sweet Skunk x Blueberry Kush x Blueberry Kush x Northern Lights Northern Lights I'm so tickled... what a good day!
