Sonoma Co MMRSA Ad Hoc Committee
Had a great meeting last night. Looks like the county is going to take action to set its own regulations so it doesn't fall to the fate of the state guidelines. Good news for most, although this will be an uphill battle. Lots of support from the community but it would be better to have even more. Next meeting is 2/2. Great place to network if you want to work in the industry.

Any updates on Sonoma counties regulations?
Is it 3 plants outdoors or 30? |

Right now we are in a status quo situation. County laws are 30 per patient in a 10x10 indoors, not sure about outs. They are going to try to fast track their regulations and licensing to be ready to roll out at the end of the year, instead of the proposed summer 2018 date originally stated. Ever since Brown signed the extension back from 3/1 they are prob sitting on their hands. Personal grows will be allowed with regulations, out of sight, plant count restriction, etc.

What's everyone doing outside (plant count) on average?
I know of someone running 2 big greenies but was wondering if it's worth buying property there over Mendocino |

Mendo you will get a lot more for your $$$. It depends on what you are looking to pursue. The new regs dictate outdoor as a size restriction and no longer a plant count if you are going the licensed route.
Sonoma Co. Guidelines permit 3 lbs for possession; maximum 100 square feet cultivation area with 30 plants or fewer (approved Sept 2006). In 2011, the BOS has commissioned a study to recommend options for cultivation regulations. On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, the BOS considered and rejected a motion to repeal the county's medical marijuana ordinance, thus not reverting to state cultivation guidelines. |
