Green Dragon FAIL. Advice?
Know what happens when you take nice bud and put it in gut-burning alcohol? You get gut-burning alcohol that tastes like wheatgrass juice.
So yeah, Pintrest Princess ground up about 11g of Sensi Star and chucked it into a mason jar with 12oz of Overproof 151. That's it. No research, no heating, no nothing. Can the contents of that jar be salvaged into something that will actually induce the THC feels and not just an alcohol drunk? I'm actually not offended by the flavor in the alcohol, but the point of THC is to steer away from the bottle. Thanks in advance!

What you need to do is add in about 75% of the volume of alcohol in sugar, stir lots, then it tastes like normal spirit.... And then you realise just how much sugar is in each swig of whisky/rum/vodka
IIRC you need to dilute it with purified distilled / RO water, as tap water makes it go cloudy. It is also a much better drink at 40% than 90%.

Terpene Dream, I don't have to be worried about explosions at 250° do I? Last thing I need is to be out bud AND my house. ![]() ChaosCataluna, I like the idea of adding a pile of sugar to make it more palatable, but does the dragon part really need diluting? From the bit of skimming I did, it looked like people were using 4g bud to 1 or 2 oz alcohol - a 4:1 or 4:2 ratio. This hastily thrown together jar has only about 11g bud to around 12oz alcohol, so practically a ratio of 1:1. Thanks again! |

You mean the dragon part, yes, unless you like firewater ... I have a bottle of Stroh 80° here, Austrian over proof Rum, so strong that it evaporates halfway down your throat, most people can't drink it, your green dragon is probably like this or worse, water it down to make it drinkable, add sugar so it is not as bitter as fuck. Brown sugar tastes better iirc.
The green part, if your skimming is correct, might be a bit light, best you sample it and find out ... Remember that decarbing makes a massive difference to potency. When I made it I basically filled the mason jar with bud and filled alcohol up to the top, so maybe 20 or 30g in a half bottle (12oz) like you used.

I figured out what to do with it!
Yesterday (January 11th) I learned was national Hot Toddy Day. Added 3ml to a cup of hot tea and it works like a charm! Very tasty and mellowing. |
