Towel in drying room (closet) for humidty??
Hi guys, I was thinking,in my drying closet RH is 35% and I've read that ideal would be around 50-60%..? So is it ok putting a bowl of water and small towel in it and a small fan blowing on it on the floor?
Can that cause moldy buds if so? Thanks for the reply |

I wouldnt.. 35 might dry faster, but its not the end of the world, when your branches snap put it in a bin for trimming. Viola.

No point.
My area the rh is like 20... it hangs on the plant or branches on the wrack for a day or 3 then into brown bags for a slow dry. Make sure the bag is tight though so too much moisture dosent escape. I shake it out of the bag every day for 5 to 10 mins then back in the paper bag. I discontinue paper bags as soon as when I shake it out its no longer a log that sticks together (I use the liquor store bags usually) and comes out all separate it's ready for glass jars or plastic bags. I use plastic because they don't break and ruin bud if one drips or knocks together. Easier to stack... Hope this helps. I grow in a super dry area. The slower you can do the brown bag part the better far as I'm concerned the hang time matters alot less... you are just preparing it to go into the bag for a longer cure. I know guys who put it direct in brown bags after chop. Works here cause its so dry but about 12 hours away it would rot your bud to put fresh into brown bags. |

Got the point coco..
I hang them on branches and trimmed only the bigger leaves to slow down the process as much as possible. Now the rh is around 45-55% in the closet ( 60x100x220) with the branches hanging and I think this is ok. Overnight it went to 85% then I opened the door for half an hour and turned small fan on.. Tell me how long does paper bag process last? I'm planning to trim those smaller leaves in a few days and give beaches another 2-3 days hanging (depending on the environment) and then put them in bags for a day or two (eventually cut the buds from the big branches before) and finally jar them... Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.. Cheers |
