I like the cheese shaken idea as well that's awesome. Ever since I started using dunks a couple weeks ago my gnat population has been significantly reduced. There's still a few but I'll keep at it.

High all
Great thread, here's my tip... Keep lights off temperatures high or as close to lights on temperatures as possible like lights off 22c lights on 25c and watch those buds swell lol Peace |

Do you care to elaborate on why the conventional wisdom that lights off temps should be 3 - 5 deg C (5 - 10 F) lower than lights on is wrong? I'd love to put this to practice, but your one statement isn't really enough for me to go by.

Well, my presumption about that would be this. Temperatures get colder at nights and warmer during the day. Adapting and mimicking this surely would help the plants process and transition. Just as cutting a light cycle down from 24 hours on to 20-4 hours and so fourth to reduce the stretch on your way to bud. When growing indoors, all we try to do is replicate as much of the outside as possible. But that was a presumption using my common sense. I could be wrong.

Eitherway your still gonna get stretch mate your only reducing the stress of flowering by easing them into the shorter days!!
I've tried it both ways on strains before really no difference imo but horses for courses bro Good luck whatever you do tho mate keep a diary and let's see your practical |

Hope you keep them Temps as close to guide lines as possible tho man they're guidelines for a reason lol too much heat were talking banana pods and foxtailing Not enough and it's autumn colours as a warning and much lower than that we talking near death either end of the road yield extinguishing problems And a whole load of unnecessary stress!! Just my 2pence emphasising your point!! |
